This is a problem that has been bothering me for some years now. There are two cutscenes in Halo 3 (the end of Floodgate and the end of Halo) in which the sound is always about a second behind the video. These are the only cutscenes in which the issue occurs and it doesn't matter what I do during the level itself, the cutscenes are always the same.
Online or offline, solo or co-op, legendary or normal, two of my favourite cutscenes in the game are ruined by this annoyance.
I did get some relief last year when I replaced my old 2006 Xbox 360 with a new one and the cutscenes worked perfectly again, but it only took 2-3 playthroughs for the issue to arise again and it has stuck since.
If anyone knows how to rectify this issue, I'd love to know. I did a bit of searching around but didn't come across anything.

its probably the disc i similar thing happend with my prince of persia warrior within game there was a cutscene where the audio was delayed and another cutscene when there was no audio at all so its most likely the disc.

at most stores, yes, but strangely enough, not the ones by me.
Posted by: xEMOxASSASSINx well you could always "accidently" switch your copy with the rented one. i doubt that anyone renting the game is going to care about a small audio glitch.
Isn't there usually something stuck to the disc, like a sticker or two strips of metal to prevent people from doing that? o_O

If it is the disc, I'll just live with it. With Reach on the way and the Mythic disc being my usual choice for playing some Halo 3 (because of the DLC), the campaign mode doesn't get played very much nowdays anyway.
Posted by: xEMOxASSASSINx i would assume it's your disc, especially if you have the same issue with different xbox's. you could try renting halo 3 at a video store and try it out to see if that's the problem.
That's what I've always thought, but I don't plan on buying a new disc just for two cutscenes if that is the case. I should try installing Halo 3 to the HDD too, even though it's supposed to negatively affect it.
