too many times have i been shooting some and some sprints past and it starts tracking them instead of who i was originally aimming at. it happens too much, it happend to me while i was killing the diffuser in trials and it lost my team the game. i pull against it but it's so strong my sensitivity is 7 and it just gets me killed a lot. my team also agree because it happens to them as well. I'd really like it to be reduced or optional.
Edit: what do people think about an aim assist slider like overwatch's?

It isn't overpowered, but it's definitely way too strong.

1 ReplyNever thought I'd see the day when people would say aim assist is op. I really hope they do add this option so you people can get completely crucified in pvp.
-
Agreed,i would like an option to turn off.
-
o boyyy🙄 here we go

9 RepliesThat can be annoying, doming someone only to get stuck on your teammate because of AA.
-
The option should be there to remove it, I agree.
-
People used to do it in Destiny 1 to protect revived guardians from being sniped instantly, aim assist protecc but can also be used to attac.
-
Features like aim assist should always have the "on/off" option with a slider if it is set to "on". Some people require more assistance than others due to physical handicaps. While others (like myself) would prefer to have full control of where I aim my weapon.

Support.

99 percent of people would land fewer shots. I agree it's extremely frustrating to have your sights just dragged across the screen when someone sprints by

6 RepliesFor all the people who say "It'd be impossible to play without aim assist", let me say something to you. Most people like AA over no AA, but not everybody. Personally I don't like aim assist at all. I actually play Titanfall 2 without aim assist and I play just fine. Most FPS games have an option to disable aim assist, but both of the Destiny games don't do that for some stupid unknown reason. AA is useful, but it's definitely not a must needed requirement for everyone. If there was an option to reduce or disable it, that would be awesome.

2 RepliesTrying to shoot the explosive barrels is a pain, especially with enemies running everywhere.

3 RepliesI agree, there should be an option to turn aim assist off, as it is so strong. Everyone saying that without aim assist you'd be useless -- you're utterly clueless. Rainbow Six Siege has no aim assist whatsoever. You learn. It's not hard to aim and hit a target with practice using a controller. In fact, it is very intuitive. There is no argument here against it. I'm guessing the ones that want aim assist, have never played with no aim assist at all, so their opinion is worth nothing here. Give us the option to turn aim assist off. It's far too strong, the game is too easy. Aim assist off in Crucible too -- make it a challenge worth playing. I'm definitely not a fan of the CPU playing the game for me with a guiding hand every time I ADS.. It's horribly artificial.

YOU SHOULD BE OPTIONAL OR REDUCED!

It has happened to me too many times..... Necro Bump

THANK YOU!! BIG BUMP

4 RepliesWithout aim assist you wouldn't even get a kill to begin with, so quit bitching.
-
Just the option to turn it off is what I want, similar to how battlefield does there aim sliders

1 ReplyEdited by Grey: 9/21/2017 4:51:56 AMI love how everyone says it's impossible to hit anything without aim assist in a console because of the controller. Just because they can't. In every game that gives me the option, I turn off AA. It just takes practice and a steadier hand. Not their 10+ sensitivity whipping 360s and blind firing. Also, it is better than D1. That shit was insane.

4 RepliesEdited by Swarlly: 9/22/2017 5:48:21 AMMaking aim assist optional would be pointless. No one would willingly turn it off putting themselves at an instant disadvantage. This is highlighted through pc players going out of their way to plug in xim4 to get aim assist on mouse and keyboard. Anyways I'd be okay with it if it was optional. Us aim assist users would only benefit from you guys who think their better off without aim assist.

I dont care about aim assist really, even if it screws up my shot by dragging it somewhere else. Its my fault and my thinking that made me open fire in that direction, so i should be prepared for consquences such as their team mates disrupting my line of fire. HOWEVER. What i HATE is when im in my own position AWAY from my team and trading with someone, a team mate jumps right in front of me as soon as im about to pull the trigger. Do you know how frustrating that is? Ive lost so many trades because some dumbass jumps into my shots and denies me the kill. Especially when im sniping. If you do this, stop playing the game. We hate you with a burning passion and hope Shaxx bans you from the Crucible.

Started a new topic: So people are saying no one will hit anything
-
7 RepliesIf you reduce it, you won't hit crits anymore. If you turn it off, you won't hit anything anymore lol.

It is awfully sticky. When you are shooting one guy, and another runs behind him it totally drags you off target.
