Duplicates in this game are insane
I have been trying to grind for new gear but Everytime i turn in a exotic or level up a faction i get the same thing i already have multiple times -__-

I'm up to 9 tractor cannons, 6 wardcliff coils, 3 dire ahamakara skulls, 3 transversive steps, 4 sunbracers, 4 winters guile.

1 ReplyThe system is definitely screwed up. I never got the merciless until Xur sold it last week, and my first exotic decrypted after this was....another merciless. Fast forward to this week, I buy the wardcliff coil and my next exotic engram turns into another coil. Bungie loves to troll its players

If it wasn't for the fact that I have seen other people with different Titian exotic armor I would think that ACD/O Feedback Fence was the only exotic armor. I am well in the double digits of duplicates for it.

I started going to the farm for decrypt exotic engrams. The last two I did there gave me a helmet that I didn't have and the element changing sniper rifle which I didn't have. I don't know if I just got lucky or if this is a way to bypass that bastard Rahool.

I haven't gotten too many, in terms of exotics. I only got a duplicate knucklehead radar, raiden flux, and graviton lance. Other than that, been pretty smooth.

I'm feeling your pain with duplicates. I've gotten 3 coldhearts, 2 Foetrackers, 2 of the useless hunter arms for sidearms (can't remember the name) 2 merciless, 2 Radiant flux chest (i think its called), two Coil - whatever rocket launchers. So freaking frustrating. Non duplicates were the cabal scout rifle and 2 different boots. So 3 total out of 14 exotics were not duplicates.

Its amazing. This was a small problem in D1 and Bungie fixed it. They then just said fck it with D2 and removed that system. And then theres the whole Getting Gear many levels lower than your total light. If everything I have is 274 in my Vault and on my character... why am I getting 264 gear.

Titan 11 different exotic armor. And 10 different exotic weapons. Only 3 duplicates from exotic engrams. My Titan is still rng lucky.

1 ReplyI've gotten enough exotic boots across 3 characters to open up a shoe store in the tower. Just got Dunemarchers back to back tonight. For weapons, aside from the 3 exotic choices during the story, I've only managed to get a Darci, Merceliss, and Boriealis and prospector. Good 'ol rng.....

Yeah it's -blam!-ing bullshit. SO many duplicates. Like there must be somethig wrong or bugged. Bungie needs to fix something but the amount of duplicates I and others have been getting is absolutely -blam!-ing insane.

Keep in mind the loot table isn't very large for faction items and exotics. I personally have I think 25 exotics and I haven't really grinded for exotics at all, just came out of crucible call to serve and flashpoint public events.

2 RepliesSame here. There aren't a crazy ton of exotics but statistically speaking it's improbable for this many people to have such a high rate of repeat items. It's clearly programed into the game to slowdown progression and extend playtime.

1 ReplyThis is simply bad game design. 4 hours of heroic grind, best i do is 4 exotics, open with dupes, 4 fcking hours. How many 4 hrs grind can a person do in a day? Can Bungie not even implement a "check" for dupes passed 5+??? Players NEED TO MOVE ON with new gear piece to even play in a different style/ way!!!! I enjoy the game for its charm, coop, combats. But this..., this is gonna burn people up.. How about u let it drop something different if the player has the record of 4 days worth of heroic grind??????? How about that? You already suck the time out so give them something to keep going for, no? FFS i dun usually get mad but i'm just scared to open engram these days... The disappointments..
