Lagged out of guided game and banned
Thanks to the amazingly garbage bungie servers, I lagged out of a guided game, and was penalized for it.
There is no current way to reenter games and as a result my clan's rating dropped, I've wasted three people's valuable time, and I can't do the night fall for 45 -blam!-ing minutes.

1 ReplyBump! Same thing happened to me. Luckily the guy joined the chat so we were still able to run him through, but I shouldn't be penalized for Bungie's "servers".

I suspect they have to put a timer on people who quit to keep them from shopping for a team to play with and leaving those generous enough to offer in the lurch when someone leaves. Maybe the servers can’t yet detect the difference in this context where the game crashed?

Man, I wonder how many other gamers are going to have to go through this. Sorry man... On another post someone was penalized for leaving because the random group was talking down on him. I don't know if I want to waste my time with this, because there is also gamers that boot gamers. So far I found 3 things messed up about it and I'm sure there is going to be more. it's funny how gamers argued that Bungie had it handled even before the beta came out. Well, guess they were wrong. Good to know though.

Don't worry it's working as intended. Just throw more money at screen. Because bungie knows how much time you have invested in your gear. They don't want you to feel like you lost all of that. Happy gaming guardian.

Sucks dude. Last week while we were at the boss of the raid I dc'd once in the final phase causing a wipe and my power to my house went off and on twice during pivotal moments. I feel your pain

24 RepliesIt's a beta. I get you were banned for 45 minutes while the original commitment was for that time, but you also signed off you would not leave or be disconnected. So did I when I first tested it and saw the warnings. With all that said though, you are not banned, as far as I know, from doing the normal Destinylfg.com, getting a fireteam together, and redoing nightfall. All the same, it's a beta. There will be changes in the future and hey, maybe they will be more active in searching for instances of this then other things as you don't see them banning people for the same reason all over the place.
