I'm glad that to see that a clan is now more than just a tag on the player emblem; however, there still isn't a lot to a clan. Yes you get the bonus for clan level and engrams; but, it currently really is nothing more than a first stop for finding a group before going to LFG. Does Bungie plan on adding features to make picking your clan being more than just size and toxicity level? Is there somewhere besides these forums to ask for new Clan Features?
Below are some features that I think could really make clans feel like they have some life to them.
1. Calendar
A place where admins can plan events to make communication easier to see.
2. Board
A place for members of a clan to questions, integrated polls, announces, etc. Yes we have chat but there are times when these things are superior to just a chat. Obviously we could use a non-destiny site to replicate this stuff but it's not really the same.
3. Member Rank
Founder / Admins should be able to create / configure clan ranks that can then be assigned to members. The configuration for these ranks would include clan permissions. This could be things like inviting a member, approving a join request, proposing a new member, editing clan info, promoting ranks of others, etc.
4. In game activities
It would be cool to get some clan-only activities going on.
Queueing up 8 members of a clan for intra-clan PvP.
Clan social spaces. This could be as simple as being able to party up with enough people to fill an instance of the tower / farm and just hanging out to play some soccer, tag, hide and seek, etc. Final Fantasy XIV Realm Reborn has guild housing and it would be cool to see a Clan Hall added to destiny. There are several cool features that could be added like a way to configure different statistics to be displayed based on the focus of the clan. Raiding clans could display fastest time beating a specific raid, number times killing a specific boss, etc. PvP focused Clans could display the number of guardians killed, avg efficiency, etc.
5. Clan Rewards
Specifically allowing clan leadership to dish out rewards to players. This could be as simple as allowing members to donate silver that the clan then can use towards buying bright engrams. These engrams can then be given to specific players or raffled off (by selecting a set of players to include then the system picks from that list). Players wouldn't be allowed to buy themselves engrams with clan funds and all members should be able to view the transaction history for this to prevent someone from draining the account. It would also be cool if there was 4 (1 per clan reward) weekly bright per clan that could be allocated to the different clan weekly rewards that would automatically get raffled off to the members participating in the event. This way the clan could further encourage getting an event done so in a PvP clan they could allocate 2 engrams for the Nightfall and 2 engrams to the Raid. This could motivate members to be the first person to complete the nightfall or raid even if they already have all the gear they want. At max a player should only qualify for 1 of these a week and then leadership could roll that out to N number of weeks (max of 4 or 5) to prevent bright engram farming by one player. The clan info page could also display which members completed which events first.
