Anyone ever played God Eater?
Before anyone mentions it... that anime was based on the games actually and watered down the story and made the protagonist go from quite and nigh silent (which isn't exactly a good thing) to being an edgy whiny little bitch. In any case, the games are great and my point is, has anyone else played them?

Yes, and I did like it. It is IMO not as good as some of the other MH games like Toukiden 1 & 2, but it is still a pretty enjoyable game. I like monsterhunter type games but the best one after Capcoms games is Soul Sacrifice by far, easily the best game on the Vita.

I started playing the first game. I think I may need to dedicate a day to learning it before I really start to try and finish it. Maybe finding a friend to play with would be a good idea as well.
