I agree,
In my view the timer made things seem very rushed... this is fine and all but from a gameplay perspective. It shortens actual play time. I imagined the goal of a nightfall is to make a strike take as long as it can, instead of being a few minutes. I prefer taking my time and finding useful loot at the end. Instead of tokens and an engram that did nothing....
Also on a personal note, the visual timer makes my anxiety sky rocket. Knowing there is a timer [u]constantly[/u] counting down on screen makes me very uncomfortable. So I won't do the nightfall anymore until it is removed.

I totally agree. It's induced anxiety to get people to make mistakes. If the timer only showed up when you pull out your ghost it would reduce the stress mistakes.
