What happened to strike-specific loot?
It was a pretty much universally praised system within the game that gave strikes a real purpose and allowed solo players to progress in light lvl.
So why get rid of it...?
Currently, for a solo player like myself, after you've finished the few weekly milestones available you're pretty much done. There really isnt any other viable way to progress. Pretty big step back from D1.
EDIT:
Even exotic farming would appear to be pretty much useless. They just keep dropping at the same power as my current gear, or LOWER. Which is BRILLIANT.

Not a single exotic dropped lower as the current power i had..just saying!

Strike loot didn't really show up until later in D1, they're probably working on it.

Everyone seems to hate Savathun's Eye and that Invisible Shock Shank captain to the nth degree. Anytime that strike comes up, the other guys bounce out instantly. Which kind of sucks considering D2 only has like 5 strikes.

There isn't enough strikes to have strike specific loot. D2 should have launched with 10 to 15 strikes all with loot. It's weird that somethings in this game seem to have gone forward but with strikes it seems to have gone in reverse.

All I ever get is crappy rare gear and since I'm stuck at 265 I'm looking interest fast.

Yeah, sponge fallen strike guy needs something exclusive for me to want to run that strike.... and all the other strikes as well. There is nothing to grind for in d2... makes me sad.

Damn straight. Just like the scoring system. I really thought they would carry over more of what people liked in D1. But hey, juggler seems to be the set mod at all times. Still love the game. But the things Bungie took out are head scratching.

agreed honestly they should have kept the loot system the same it was fine before now its pointless to do anything after yoh get your weekly luminous engrams because thats the only way to lvl up

yeah would love to grind strikes for gear. sucks its not included in destiny 2

solo playing is no longer an option in destiny 2 it seems

Agreed, strikes aren't even worth doing the way they are now, I get more and better loot from farming public events and those take a fraction of the time.

same boat...I just farm for an occasional exotic until reset.
