I feel like Warlock glides, and general sprint/slide speed are potentially too low in D2 currently. I understand that you can spec for mobility, and there are exotics like Transversive Steps that enhance your sprint speed, weapon combinations like MIDA Multi/Mini that provide movement bonuses, but without them the movement just doesn't feel right to me. I'm not asking for Titan skating to return, but "Burst Glide" doesn't feel any different than Strafe Glide or Balanced Glide. Additionally, the "strafe" aspect of Strafe Glide is barely noticeable, same for Strafe Jump on Hunter. It just feels like there's this weird inherent penalty to character movement that makes for really clunky play most of the time. With slower TTK across the board, I feel like we should be able to move more efficiently in order to close gaps, or to retreat/regroup. Whenever I play Crucible on Warlock I'm almost always Voidwalker running Blink because the other movement options on Voidwalker/Dawn Blade/Stormcaller are all so slow and inefficient, I'd rather have the stronger neutral game through the fluidity of movement Blink offers to the point that I almost never play or enjoy any other option on Warlock(inb4 yet another Blink nerf.) Also, a 10 second cooldown on Icarus Dash is just absurd, and the Hunter sidestep/rolls don't feel strong enough, given how long the cooldowns are, and they're completely useless on PC. Granted, the only thing I'm basing this off of is my experience from D1, and while the power level in D1 is definitely higher across the board than it is in D2, I feel like the ceiling of that power level is simply too low in general currently. It just feels like they're so afraid of things being too strong, that everything is just watered down to the point of barely being playable, and its really frustrating.

I understand what you're saying but the three classes now kind of specialize in one thing and it makes a difference when in dest 1 it didn't really. Titans have high resilience, warlocks have recovery and hunter have mobility

1 ReplyAs a warlock main, I have to beg to differ. I understand that yeah, warlocks are inherently a bit slower but you get a variety of ways to improve it such as the class-exclusive blink. I'm a balanced build and yes I use blink and the dual mida set-up. Even without blink, I out-run everything on the map in most crucible matches. I'm the kind of player that picks off the 1 or 2 guys that don't stick to the pack (and in doing so, am one of those same guys lol) and then the moment I'm at a disadvantage, I book it until I'm back in an advantageous position (healed, higher ground, outnumber). Once I started using blink, jeez. No one could escape me. I've chased down hunters and titans fleeing from me and just slapped their butts to death.

1 ReplyWarlocks were definitely shafted in the speed department. As a Hunter main, yeah the Strafe Jump doesnt feel any faster than the others, but at 10 spees, using Arcstrider and the Dual Midas, im a Streak of Lightning. In Gauntlet i could be a whole gate ahead of the other runner. Id love to siphon some of my speed to the Locks, we're still friends who killled Ahamkara together, and id give anything for those delicious rifts of theirs. A

2 RepliesAgreed!! I also don't notice a difference between 1 mobility and 8 mobility!

3 RepliesI must bite on this because I too feel the lack of difference in Warlock glides. In D1 the burst glide was quite noticable. The strafe feels very sluggish compared to a Titans lift or Hunters jump.
