Helpful Raid Tips - Gear. (Spoiler free)

Heading in to the raid for the first time? Not sure what to pack? IT'S YA BOIIIIII PRINCE AOI HERE WITH ANUVVA DESTIN-...No. Okay, let's do this. Aim for this stuff: Hawthorne's Field Shotgun - Devrim in EDZ/Zavala drop Sweet Business - Random drop Merciless - Random drop Hunters: Celestial Nighthawk, otherwise Stompies, otherwise, equip to your subclass. Warlocks: Lunafaction boots if your team co-ordination and positioning is on point, otherwise Transversive Steps, if no steps, equip to your subclass. Titans: Actium War Rig (If using Sweet Business/AR), Otherwise, Dunemarchers. Exotic armor will be mostly based on what you have that compliments your play style. Always mod to your subclass. Stormcaller is recommended for Warlocks, Hunters switch as necessary, Titans can...Be... ...Slightly relevant for last boss? Whatever. ------- Opening doors: Hawthorne's Field Shotgun (This will serve you ALLLLL the way up to the last boss) Skyburners exotic scout for Phalanx management, otherwise, any weapon will do, avoid sidearms and swords as you want to keep enemies out of range. ------- Pools: Hawthorne's Field Shotgun (Yeah, again.) Auto rifles. Avoid swords. ------- Dogs: Hawthorne's Field Shotgun (Yep, again.) Any fast fire rate weapon other than side arms. NO SWORDS. Your team will hate you. ------- Gauntlet: Guess what? Hawth- You get the point. Avoid sidearms. One scout/one AR is ideal. ------- Last boss: If you have Sweet Business, take that with you, ask your team to assign you as someone that stays inside at last boss, they'll thank you (And you'll understand what I mean when you get there) Autorifles are king. Use them. Never run double scout, ever. When you get to the last boss, equip your fast fire rate weapons (other than side arm) - Never use a sword. If you're outside, take Merciless if you have it. If you're inside, take Sweet Business for stacks. If your exotic slot is taken by something else (Because you're running Sweet Business), aim for a rocket launcher, bonus points if it has clusters. Ideally, you want Kinetic Reload speed on your gauntlets and class item for efficiency, but, that's just for MAX DEEPS. ------- TLDR, TOO MANY WORDS.: Get Hawthorne's Field Shotgun Get Sweet Business for last boss inside. Get Mercliess for last boss outside. Avoid Sidearms Avoid Swords SMGs are situational, only useable at phase 2, 3 and boss. - Recoil management recommended. Never double scout. Ever. Double AutoRifle is A-R-Okay. Sweet Business if inside (Boss) Merciless if outside. (Boss)

  • Sooooo many things you just said are so wrong. "Never run double scout rifles." I and one of my fireteam members ran double scout rifles against Calus and we put up much higher damage numbers than anyone else. Also, while Merciless is a good option, Borealis dealt more damage to Calus. My weapon setup for the raid? Nameless Midnight, Uriel's Gift, and Merciless for 3/4 of the raid. Merciless Midnight, Seven-Six-Five, and Borealis for Calus. This was the best DPS setup for the final encounter out of everything. Auto rifles are only good for those three that stay inside. The three that do not stay should run double scout rifles and a sniper.
