The Fallen in the city

Im For Fallen settlers

Im Against the idea

Leave it to the next speaker

I and im sure many other Guardians would like to invite the desperate Fallen into the city as a faction. Im sure that Captain who seemed to be a step ahead of us would like to join our ranks. Could we do something about that?

  • Let the New Speaker (OSIRIS) decide. He's lived the future. And the Past. Millions of timelines. Yes. I'm Calling it. Osiris will be new speaker. Job openning + Osiris DLC = Loose Conclusion.

  • Because this is the kind of thing I think about when mowing the lawn, I've considered this before. The Fallen could have tried to broker a peace with us and share in the blessing of the Traveler, but no, they attacked us without mercy, after we had already experienced the Collapse. Have mercy and give them a planet of their own, sure, but let them tread on our city streets, where the children only know a fear of them? Baby steps on that one. I personally respect the Fallen. They are very much like our own scattered people, only it seems like they were broken more severely. The Traveler left them behind, whereas it stood and fought with humanity in our darkest hour. Maybe they were unworthy of the Light. Post-Golden Age humans are pretty enlightened folks--we found peace and understanding. We also get that the Traveler wasn't meant for staying out, hence the name we gave it. Seems like the Fallen have traditionally sought ownership and control of it...maybe this is one reason the Traveler left them. Either way, as I'm not a lore master by any means, I can only speculate. Perhaps the awakened Traveler will give the Fallen a second chance. I just think it's too early to start letting them eat in our spicy ramen shops, but I have hope for the future.

  • After the Story, and the Lore that I come across in the world... I'm having a hard time figuring out; what is the point of having the Fallen or the Taken in D2 at all? Just by the way everything is written, the only enemies that have a point are the Cabal, and the Vex. The Crimson War is pretty much a three-sided struggle between the Guardians (Humanity), the Cabal, and the Vex. The Fallen have... fallen. And the Taken are little more than insects you can't quite exterminate. So aside from needing to flesh out the number of enemies to shoot at, what's the point of even having the Fallen or the Taken in D2?

  • It seems that Prince Uldren has made some sort of deal with the Kell of Kings, as after supposedly making contact, The Kell called all of the fallen in his grasp out of their strongholds on Earth. It seems that They didn't want a massive war, unlike Skolas. So reasoning with the Fallen seems reasonable. They ( for the majority) also only want the Traveler back.

I still think how funny and tragic is to see how brave the Fallen are. In Destiny 1 we saw them going to places we feared to go, They fought the Hive on Hearth and the Moon, fearless, crazy. They fought Cabal on Mars, trying to recalaim a piece of territory for them selves on HoW, etc. Now on Destiny 2 we can still see them corageously going against Cabal inside their ships, still fighting against anyone in their paths. They don`t have the Light but they fight much like us Guardians.

    • I don't see it happening, unless some highly catastrophic event happens, that threatens both Humans and the Fallen. They would then be forced to work together, sort of like the Elites and Humans in Halo. It would take a very desperate situation to overcome the genocide they have been committing to each other. We killed thousands of them and they have killed thousands of us.

    • Sweet! Like when the Romans invited in the barbarians to help bolster their military ranks. That worked out really well.

I think that we (the Guardians) should not have become enemies with the Fallen. We are kindered spirits, of sorts. The Fallen are the only race not motivated by "evil". The Cabal conquer, subjugate, and destroy; the Vex transform, dissect, and subvert; the Hive consume, and destroy; the Taken are the truest form of Darkness that we have yet seen; but the Fallen (IMO) act out of fear and desperation. In D1 they fought us because they have always fought us, and we have always fought them. I was always hoping that there would be Eliksni (fogive me if I spelled it wrong) Guardians among our ranks, especially with how well we worked with Veriks.

              • I think it's a decent idea and I would be for it, but it would have to be on a very small scale to prevent any kind of repeat of the Cybele uprising
