What does gunsmith telemetry data do?
A lot of ghosts have "generate gunsmith telemetry data on whatever energy weapon kills". What does that mean?

I just looked it up on YouTube, apparently when you use the said Elemental weapon your ghost will generate an item called "Weapon Telemetry Data" and you can turn it into the gunsmith for a miniscule amount of reputation... I'm shocked at how rare it is though... And since it's so rare, I can't believe how little reputation it gives you... You would think if something is so rare you would get more reputation for it... But you don't!

Seriously what does this thing do? Because it doesn't appear to be doing anything at all. I know I have not looted any "Telemetry Data" items...
