experiences that are meant to be challenging, which NF is, shouldn't be diluted to accommodate for casuals go do a patrol if you just want to dawdle around, or a normal strike. Leave NF as it is

  • Since when is rushing through content considered a challenge? Instead, Bungie needs to build in more challenging enemies, mechanics, perhaps some puzzle components, to add challenge to nightfalls. The timer, instead of being kicking out of night fall if it runs out, can be used to increase the chances at exotics/legendary the more remaining time that is left so there is some motivation to take time into consideration.

  • Some of you have not played an MMO. Timing is about being efficient and progressing at being better. Any end game content ever in any mmo ever has had timing structure or you wipe. It's a challenge because it literally is an obstacle that is able to be beaten when you get better with how you play individually and as a team.

  • I never have an issue with time on nightfalls. Challenges should be fun. Limited time as a "challenge" isn't fun.

  • Being forced to speedrun through a strike isn't a challenge. It's retarded and frustrating.

  • If you can't handle it go waltz around and do Adventures or Lost Sectors, you can get plenty medals of participation for those activities. Considering that NF is a fraction of the games content, and its rehashed content at that, its difficulty shouldn't be compromised.

Yeah like I said, it's all about personal opinion. Really the only reason I want to do a nightfall is due to the limited chances of getting 'powerful gear' through milestones. I still need a sense of progression to keep this game fun. But I guess for now I'll just skip the nightfall and stick to the others. I'd hardly say the old nightfall structure wasn't challenging though. The timer aspect just seems like cheap, easy 'fix' by bungie to stop camping/cheesing rather than fixing level design.

  • Question, have you ever played an MMO ever? Cause Bungie has specifically stated the genre of this game is more in line with an mmo. Progression means being efficient with your time. In almost any end game content on any type of mmo, you have to finish it within a certain time limit or enrages / wipes happen. If what you guys want to happen becomes reality then 99% of the community will get through all of the content within a month and then the game will get stale and people will leave and/or complain about how they've already done everything they can and start begging bungie about the next content patch. The whole point of this is to separate casuals from progression players. Bungie want's player to get better at their classes as well as teamwork so they can throw harder content MORE IN LINE with an MMO at us. Just look at the end game raid.. a lot of the mechanics are just like that of an MMO raid boss.

  • Its almost as if you want a sense of "progression" without actually progressing, or putting in any effort.

  • I put 4800 hours into D1. I do plenty for progression. Speedruns aren't fun. The timer is false difficulty. Make the strikes harder but get rid of the stupid timer.

How is it false difficulty? You have to be precise and spend your time with economy, deaths are punished accordingly. Are time limits in sports false difficulty?? EDIT: Again, there is already a wealth of content for people who only want to play on babymode. NF as it currently stands is one of the few areas of the game that forces players to push themselves and adapt. Git gud m9.

  • If you can't do something when attempting to that means it's challenging to you. Please don't nerf content for casuals who want to do everything at a casual pace. There's plenty of regular strikes you can do that aren't timed or patrols or Crucible.

  • Yeah but as I said, I still want a sense of progression. You won't get that from strikes (strikes actually seem completely useless from a progression standpoint). There was nothing wrong with how nightfalls were set up in D1.

  • The fact people were able to solo them was a problem they aren't meant to be doable for one character. It being timed cuts down on that drastically.
