While MIDA isn't the best powerhouse weapon to use in PVE, it is back to that perfect place of being able to flinch Yellow Bar enemies and serve a huge purpose in an effective end game activity. It's also an explorer's dream weapon. Move faster, jump like a gazelle, and pop the heads off enemies with a smile on your face.
Since it isn't full auto and it has a just slightly on the edge of annoying pop-up recoil, there are other guns I swap to for large encounters. And the scope is unforgiving in the up close battle in both PVP and PVE. But I LOVE my MIDA just the way it is for PVE.
In PVP, when in comes to teams stacked with it, you just have to close the gap quick and take the fight to them. There are plenty of guns that can put shoot the MIDA if you are smart enough to get inside their optimal range.
So stop it with the salty tears there kids and learn to overcome your weaknesses. You'll be far better players for it.

EXACTLY! The MIDA Multi-Tool is amazing! Check out this database about the MIDA Multi-Tool: https://dragonball.watch/mida-multi-tool-database/

2 RepliesEh, I honestly hate it in PvE and PvP. I'll just continue killing all the things with my Nameless Midnight / Sunshot.
-
Your dead who cares what killed you, respawn and go again. Your dead who cares if you got killed by the same gun, respawn and go again. Your dead who cares that you run around the corner and got team shot, respawn and go again. You just killed someone well done, who cares that you just got a salty message cos your using the Mida.

2 RepliesIf I remember correctly Luke Smith mentioned, before the game came out, that there is suppose to be a way to tweak weapons on just the Crucible side and not on the PvE side. Again, IF I remember correctly. I could be very wrong.

Edited by Right-eyes-: 9/19/2017 8:03:27 PMWhen Mida gets nerfed (and it will because of the crucibabies) something else will take its place. It won't matter if it's an ar a smg or another scout rifle, the moaners will get killed a couple of times by the same gun and they'll begin to cry nerf. "I've been killed 4 times by the same gun it must be op." "Everyone's using it, it must be op." And the nerf cycle begins again, simply because this game is filled with poor sods who think they're too good to lose.

1 ReplyThis will be the first test of whether or not Bungie can keep the game healthy on D2. Mida is a great PvE weapon. It's good in PvP, but there are other really good PvP scouts, like 5-6-7 and auto rifles dominate mid range encounters anyways. Besides, if everyone is using Mida and it's an easy to obtain exotic, then all engagements come down to skill, so crucible people should be happy.
you know they won't be happy until they destroy D2, which is a shame because it's a fantastic game
3 RepliesWhen every trials group u go against uses mida exclusively, u know it's time for the nerf
-
1 ReplyI agree. MIDA is a really reliable gun, it doesn't need a nerf. People are using it in trials because this map is really good for scouts and it's a good team shot weapon. At this point I'm more scared of teams not using MIDA, because it seems the bad players seem to flock to it. Don't know about others, but my nameless midnight beats it everytime.

3 RepliesPeople whining that about getting killed by a scout rifle. 1) Aim at the head 2) Stop missing your shots 3) Stay with your team. No matter what weapon they use, a tight team will obliterate any stupid randoms. 4) Get good.

15 RepliesSuch a knee-jerk reaction to d1's horrible balancing. Everyone is afraid of weapons being balanced. Yes, it needs a nerf. No, it won't ruin the game.
-
2 RepliesPeople don't understand that that as soon as something gets nerfed something else becomes "op", after that more salty tears and more nerfs, and more salt and more nerf.... At what point do you stop, when everything is turned into tickle guns?
-
Thank good they haven't found origin story yet.
-
Nerfs should be banned from destiny they ruined so many good weapons D1
-
I agree trying to take the fight to them instead of playing passively. Get to them before they can pull out their Mini.
-
Nothing ever needs to be nerfed.
-
Ugh already.... RIP MIDA winter 2017
-
Nerf it

1 ReplyIt's very easy to use. I find getting headshots in crucible to be fairly easy, and sure I've camped point C and gotten a triple, but if I run into anyone with a sword, automatic gun, or another scout I'm dead. I'm a decent player with it, but it's not OP.
-
It's not OP in PvP. Trials map was just unfortunate to be a long range one. Necessitates using a scout and everyone just had the MIDA from the quest. I'm sure there'll be more diversity in Altar of Flame.
-
I got my MIDA at 301 and infused into into my primary scout rifle to free up the exotic slot. I use MIDA for pvp so buying it from collections works for me
-
7 RepliesMida is not op at all in crucible. It's no better than some of the other good scouts

4 RepliesAll this community knows how to do is complain. They WILL ruin this game again. Just watch.
-
3 RepliesIt's a majority of the player bases highest powered gun which is why it's seeing so much use at this point in the game. Give it a few weeks and it will fade away. It's not op in the slightest bit and is only effective in pvp if you land your headshots, skilled players will beat you with anything they use and non skilled players will get outgunned regardless of if they use mida or not
-
4 RepliesThe midi is a handicap used by people who do not know how to use other weapons. It's like the starter weapon for kills in destiny. Like the thorn was.
