But in patrol there is no one. It would be 100x easier to public events if i wasnt the only one doing it.
Edit: i just wanna be clear, i love this game. I am not saying to nerf anything. In my experience i havent seen that many other players doing events (specifically the EDZ). I also understand this isnt the case for everyone. Some people seem to have the same problems as me and others dont. Some of you have given me tips for improving the odds of finding others and i thank you for it. I just hope bungie is still trying to better the experience in patrol and making it where more players are being put in the same patrols.

What planet are you on? Keep in mind the milestones because if its Nessus this week and you are on Titan you will find less players!
-
2 RepliesI don't know what your talking about, I see tons of people in patrols.
-
Fireteams. Try em sometime
-
4 RepliesDepends where you patrol. Io is a barren wasteland because the Taken are stale and annoying. Nessus is decent, but Failsafe can be annoying until after you become her new "captain". EDZ is highly populated in the fallen areas, less in the cabal areas. If you can find a glimmer drill or Servitor event, you'll likely find everyone else there.
-
1 ReplyFunny, I've never seen so many players in public events in destiny1. Choose the location though. There are some areas where players flock, and a few public events where there is never anyone.
-
My friend likes titan and most hours of the day peoe are there. But i think its because both travel points are right on the events so maybe convenience?
-
Because the tower has less going on (no enemies) so it's easier to hold tons of people in one instance of the tower map than it is for any given patrol area. There's likely tons of people out on patrol, it's just that they're spread out across the different maps and instances of maps.

It's a kinda weird situation because if you have too many in one area you're struggling to get there and they get done too quick and people gear up too quick and bungie end up nerfing public events But If you keep it how it is...it's a challenge for a start because 9 times out of 10 I end up doing a heroic on my own and it's very challenging and fun rather than doing it in 2 minutes or so with ease. Also you appreciate the rewards a lot more where as if you did it with 10 people you would get too much and just be like meh.

Farm titan public events it always has players for some reason.
-
they get kinda boring pretty quickly bungie put public event grinds on us IMMEDIATELY, which means most of us hit them 10-40x within a short period of time til we burnt out a large chunk of them are MUCH more difficult than others so you will see barely anyone on some events, some entire planets really you can generally find people where the weekly grind is aiming (planet-wise)

1 ReplyI love public events. My problem is folks need to learn heroic mode. Every damn time the Vex one come up or the cabal folks just kill enemies. It's super frustrating. Especially the ones on Titan in my opinion. I mean it's obvious. Four big huge glowing bubbles with cannons in them. Most times I'm trying to carry all the orbs by myself while some noob is just blowing enemies away. Same thing with the Taken one. I'm always alone standing inside the Taken rift shooting that orb in a race to finish before uninformed try hards kill all the enemies.

2 RepliesAnd the best place to do public events I found was on titan. Such as small area compared to the rest and it's way easier to find people doing public events there jumping to only 2 places. But yeah, again still, Bungie needs to do 1000x better job at placing players with others and not constantly loading you into an empty space. Makes the game way less fun than it should be.
-
Everyone is probably burnt out and waiting for the weekly reset to get better gear.
-
Have you tried making friends?
-
I have noticed in these two weeks that Public events are now mainly done only on the Flashpoint Planets. Go anywhere else and its dead.
-
Probably cuz most people are playing trials and trying to do the raid, last week patrols were packed.
-
Everyone's patroling nessus this week. Sorry, we forgot to tell you!
-
4 RepliesIt varies based on location and time of day, when I see a patrol zone going dry I just go to another one. It is super frustrating though when I try to clear a public event when no one is around or even worse when someone is nearby and they don't help.
-
2 RepliesIm not sure what's up with that, but I noticed (and this is just me) but last week, there was A TON of people in EDZ and I was on last night doing an event where maybe one other person showed up, then I went over to nessus and had no problem finding 3 or more people in each area doing events. I think if you stick to where the flashpoints are there's gonna be more people, because that area is offering better loot and not everyone gets the flashpoints done at the same time.
-
One reason could be flashpoints too. Just farming on Nessus
-
Because they all rushed and got high enough to do raids. Public events are going to become more difficult with newer players joining destiny, because there won't be a million players just starting out.
-
7 RepliesIf you travel to an area where no one is around, fast travel to the same spot, rinse and repeat until you load in a server where others are playing as well.
Also, if you end up beating the event very quickly, you may be able to use the fast travel to jump on a different server where it's still going in, and get 2 events done in one sitting.
-
Public events are dried up. Coins are useless as people are turning them in and are getting repeated item or item they don't use at all(sidearms, grenade launchers, etc).
-
Try going to the planet that had the weekly flash points, that's where you will find the most players.
-
1 ReplyTry running Pub events on the planet that is hosting the flashpoint for the week. Its gonna have more players there tryong to complete it.
