Trials is the worst state of Crucible I've ever seen in Destiny.
As a 3 year absolute devoted Destiny fan I am very sad at the apparent "vision" bungie has for crucible. Playing my first trials of the nine and this sh*t is just awful. 8 mida tools shooting across the map or a pack of guys running around team shooting, this is just not fun. I don't see longevity in this. Crucible has become less and less fun IMO. Thoughts?

The problem is the lack of a displayed MMR rating. Players have literally no idea how they stack up against other players. If the Ranked mode had a displayed skill rating and the Trials mode had a recommended rating at least we would know if we stood a chance. As it stands it's mystery meat which is simply unfun.

On large maps 6 guys hardscoping was so much better. 6 Clever Dragons with High Cal rounds was so much better /s[/b] Weapon balance needs fixing for sure. Pulse Rifles and Handcannons need buffs and then there wont be as much MIDA. I think weapon balance is at an easy to fix place. Auto rifles are fine, SMGs are fine, Sidearms are fine. We just need the Pulses and HCs. HOPEFULLY Bungie doesn't screw shit up and go nerfing MIDA or scouts or autos because this is usually what they do instead of just buffing a couple other things. Trials of the Nine at its base is fun though. I like the change of pace with Countdown. It can get pretty intense killing the last guy and then having to rush to defuse the charge. I like the 4v4. I like that Twitch people like Kraffty cant carry anymore all day by just using a sniper as a primary.

Agreed. There aren't any epic moments anymore. Mainly two teams at opposite end of a lane team shooting each other.

4 RepliesTrials of the Nine is the most fun I've ever had in Destiny pvp. Also. I didn't use a mida. I used a Nightshade and made it my intent to engage at my effective range vs theirs. I usually won my engagements where I made sure to do this. Sure. If I was battling a mida over a long sightline... I lost. and rightfully so for being so stupid.

2 RepliesBasically it`s personal preference. The MIDA aspect is also flawed. I tried the MIDAand i prefer to use Autorifles instead. Personal preference. By the way, if 8 tools are playing with MIDA and your team loses, then the other team must be better than your`s ? Right?

Actually the game is more team coordinated now than going solo, I seen teams I faced this week split up and it was a mistake on their end

use a scout aswell or close the gap (the map layout is very good) and spray them down with ars/smgs/hcs?

It was the map type that drew out all the midas. The meta will change depending on the map each week. I guarantee the next map will be CQC.

4 RepliesEdited by Niiv: 9/18/2017 5:09:43 AMThe general lack of diversity is definitely bothersome, but that is not to say that MIDA is overpowered, or should be nerfed, or whatever. If you challenge MIDA within your weapons' range, you can outgun any MIDA user, provided you have any semblance of thumb skill. Push into midrange with a Vigilance Wing(that's the real sleeper in Crucible people have yet to discover,) Nightshade, or any AR. Push into mid/close range with a Handcannon and you're going to melt a MIDA user before they can get 5 shots off. The gun is far from unbeatable. You can't challenge a teamshot in a Scout Rifles intended range and expect favorable results. Maps have so much cover, move around, work with your teammates, or stay at range with a Scout rifle yourself, and if you're still losing to MIDA, then they're a better shot/player than you are, or you just got outplayed in that particular instance.
