Dodge reloads your weapon and....
1. Grants a portion of your health back.(15-20% hp) -perhaps like phoenix dive does
2. Drops an orb for your teammates (not for each teammate, just 1 total) Being able to drop an orb every 25 sec could be super useful for your team in pve and pvp.
3. Grants 33% bonus damage for 3 seconds after dodge from all sources or from weapons only (depending on balance).
I took its fast class ability cooldown into consideration compared to warlock and titan. I think warlock has the strongest ability but its on a 1 min 23 sec cooldown. Titan wall is 2nd best and it has 38 sec cooldown. But titan could be best option since you can put 2 up before warlock can use 1 pool and wear crest of alpha lupi for a healing effect as well. Than hunter which is every 24 sec but it could use a buff and if it did receive something like I described above it may need a few seconds added to cooldown as well but idk.

All dodge needs is built in damage reduction during the animation.

Nah. Only change i'd make is making the cooldown on the reload dodge be shorter if you didn't use it to reload anything and as an escape tool instead.

So i can be 100% wrong : I don't feel weak when i play hunter. To be honest i use more often my hunter dodge than my Titan barricade. Solo PVE speaking the big barricade was pretty useless ( You just creat a wall to hide, with hunter agility you can just move to find a wall if you need to hide, it's the same thing ) and the reload barricade was super good to get more dps but Hunter get more DPS overall anyway and with subclass you can recharge dodge with melee kill to get reload reset too ( and it's more fun to go melee crazy than staying behind a wall ) For group maybe Titan can bring some utility wall and damage boost but if im correct Hunter creat orbs ( Is it the best class for that ? ) and also give damage buff to the group ( Hunter + warlock buff combinaison better than titan +X ? i don't know ) ... Plus we can roam, find target, do objectif more easy in raid or stuff like this. So, the question is : Do we need a better dodge ? .... If yes, maybe getting more invincibility + a big burst of movement speed or trigger the life regen like melee would help a lot to improve the dodge ability. For PVP i don't know, i never tried yet.
