Yeah man :\ I WANT to like it too, I'm trying hard to embrace it. And I don't want to fall behind the power curve for the next DLC.. my heart hurts lol :(

Given all the ways you can power up outside of the raid, I think it can safely skip it and be fine for the next DLC. What are you so disappointed about in particular? I like the new direction. They played it so safe with so much else that they did.

Just no lead up to the arrival of the Leviathan. No lore on what it reeeeaaaally is, no more back story... but I guess the ending does set up for future content. It just felt empty. Like we're fighting the Cabal emperor in this dope empire... and we're solving puzzles. Wtf lol. I had high expectations for slaying legions of Cabal and super weaponized bosses with insane mechanics like Aksis. But nope, none of that.

But nope, none of that.[/quote] To be fair that's more a problem with stuff outside the raid, though VoG had no lead up and people still love it. I see you discovered the booklet. I read it online and it's soooo good! Also there's an adventure on Nessus in the cistern. Called I think "an invitation from the emperor". It's pretty cool!

There is lore behind it all came with the special game gace a booklet about calus and his generals plus side storys give info to leviathan

So... just got home, my husband told me I was stupid and we both had the booklet. Read it. Loved it. I feel better about it. That intro letter could have been an awesome cinematic intro. I can appreciate the encounter a lot more now... still would call it a raid though... definitely a Trial. Or Rite of passage. Very interesting <3

I didn't even know about it, shame on me lol. But I feel bad for the people who don't have it, or again don't know about it. Because just jumping into it expecting a Destiny raid left me with a really sour taste.

Ya i think ot was released early for that reason to go more in depth to the story cause one week is a bit early compared to d1 forst raid it tokke awhile to come out
