So guys, since the drop of in the Name of the Tsar recently I wanted to drop a few posts like this so let's jump in.
1. Choosing your weapon: Yeah don't be using something like the BAR. That's not happening. Guns I recommend:
1. MG 15: This gun packs a lot of bullets and is incredibly good for taking down these planes. Either use the low eight or suppressive variant. I recommend the suppressive not only because of its 200 round magazine, but also for its scope that you can track planes far away with. The only time the Leigh's weight would be useful would be in situations with low flying planes and just keeping track of those easier.
2. Lewis Gun: This is a odd choice but I think this gun has really good potential for this. It's 40 round mag isn't anything impressive but it's control is superb and its recoil minimal, especially when using bipod. I like the Low Weight variant the best. This has best tracking and AA gun sights that help a lot and the AA gun sights on this gun are my favorite out of all of the guns.
3. Perino: If you have unlocked the Perino already then use this beast. It has great magazine size and its reload can keep you topped off easily. Just make sure to not let it get to low as a reload with this guy takes a longer time to reload. Use the Defensive variant and always stay with the bipod except in certain situations.
Parabellum: We are trying to unlock the Low Weight but if you have the Suppressive you can use that. Just keep it on a bipod at all times if you want to hit anything farther away. Up close you can probably get away with it.
2. Gadgets: Really just have a ammo box for your gadget. Ammo box is important to this. No ammo pouch. The box will replenish you while you are near while pouch is a re-throw thing and that's valuable time you are using to throw out a ammo pouch.
3. Gamemode: Operations. Just do operations. It is so good for this. The planes stay near the objectives which are usually closer together. I highly recommend the Galcia map for this. It's open and has remote areas where you can lay fire from.
4. Targets: Go for bombers or fighters. Disregard the attack planes completely. The attack planes have good hp and mobility meaning they can kill you pretty easily especially if a good pilot is using it. Bombers and heavy bombers are my personal favorite. These are so huge that it doesn't matter too much that they have a lot of hp. You get essentially unlimited ammo so go to town. Fighters are fast and small making them hard to hit but they have low hp so if you can hit them go for it. Keep in mind that heavy bombers have a repair spot so they can take more than 100 damage so patient.
5. Strategies: Here are a lost to use. Some are more honest then others but consider them all.
1. Friendly firepower:
What you need:
1 or more friends
Plane/ AA gun/ LMG
Procedure: Have friends who either are good with planes, are in a AA gun or are trying to get the Parabellum too. Have them focus fire if they have a LMG. Have them dogfight designated targets if they are in a plane or have them soften the plane with a AA gun. Coordinate for you to have the killing blow.
2. Turncoat
What you need:
1 friend
1 plane
Procedure: Have your friend switch teams, spawn in a plane and fly to a remote part of the map. Have him jump out and you shoot the plane until explodes. No one has to be in the plane just it has to explode by you. Do this in conquest as the maps are better for this and you can easily get two planes in a round. A con is other planes or soldiers may see you doing this and kill you. It is also dishonest but if you are ok with that go ahead.
3. From plane to parachute:
What you need:
1 plane (can be a friend or random)
Procedure: This is less guaranteed but bad*** if you can pull it off. Have a plane try and get you. Shoot him with the back turret of a attack or bomber plane until he smokes, quickly jump out, parachute and finish him off.
4. Solo with AA gun:
What you need:
AA gun
Procedure: Shoot plane with AA gun until it smokes. Switch off AA gun and finish it off with your LMG.
5. Solo without AA gun:
What you need:
Nothing ( nothing special anyway)
Procedure: Go prone in a field or a secluded area, again Glacia is great for this. Put down a ammo box and find a target. Once found, shoot it. Make sure to lead the target if farther away. If you can't find the lead, start right in front and slowly increase leading distance until you see hit markers. Maintain leading distance afterwards. Spot the plane so if it flys off into mist or something you have a idea of where it is. Try and shoot wing if possible. When it flys above, crouch and continue to follow it until you can go prone again.
Hope these tips help y'all to get the Parabellum. I'll go over the Mosin Nagant Infantry next. Bye y'all
