I have seen the post from other guardians and have put enough time in the class to have this opinion (in my opinion). Dodge isn't entirely bad and in fact gambler's dodge in the right hands is definitely as effective as any rift. The same just can't be said about marksman's dodge, brief spin jump to the side and full clip doesn't put the average player in a better position.
Cutting to the chase, I think an extra buff should be gained after marksman dodge to support the idea of keeping in the fight like dodging seems to allow. I'm talking about a stability bonus that last either a few seconds or for the entire mag gained from dodging. Just like a rift or barricade a full mag and stability bonus can give players a subtle edge. Or maybe even a bit of health gained especially since hunters are the only group with few options for health.
