Same here. I brought this up in Feedback forums a long time ago and nothing has changed. For example, my Hunter is at 1302 power level, my Prime Engrams drop at 1302 or above on my Hunter but when I switch to my Titan or Warlock, both at 1301 power level, the prime engrams AND powerful engrams drop at 1300 consistently.

It doesn’t only happen to secondary characters of the same class. I had this problem with my original character (who was a titan), and my secondary character (who was a warlock). The whole point of me switching was because I thought I broke my titan somehow with the loot drops.

I am 281 almost 282 and I am still getting light level 271 legendaries. even my exotics are only 276. i cannot increase anymore so i guess im just done playing.

I'm having the same problem. All rewards and engrams are dropping at 268. I only have one character.

Thank you for the info, but there is much more that needs to be addressed. Please fix this issue so many of us are having. I just wrote a very long comment on the forum and the help page bc I think I ruined my Warlock this week unintentionally. I, like many others is this thread, never had two of the same characters, I did delete my only Warlock because I wanted to recreate her. I wanted to do adjustments to her looks and join a different faction and also get the powerful gear from the milestones bc that is the only thing that is worthwhile for me to do anymore each week. Now all of my milestone rewards are lower than they should be or were last time I got them, even though I never had two warlocks or two of any of the same characters. I use and enjoy all three classes. Please help, address and correct this Bungie. If this only last until the reset, cool, but if this is permanent then I am very disappointed and this is a huge problem and extremely unfair and broken since there was absolutely no disclaimer or notice. A lot of long time loyal players (myself included) are being unfairly affected by this undisclosed ridiculous attempt to force players to use all three classes and to never edit or change their own characters without being penalized. I love this game and sink a lot of time each week into it with my friends, but this really puts a bad taste in my mouth and is ruining the fun and experience for me. Please notify and address your fan base on if this is permanent, a bug (for those that deleted and recreated and never had two characters of the same class), planning to be fixed or what the players can do (if anything). I really do not want my one and only Warlock and favorite character to be penalized for something that is completely unfair and wasn't ever disclosed properly beforehand. Thank you for your time.

@Cozmo Powerful Gear is dropping 10 levels below for Clan XP, Flash Point, Call to Arms, Nightfall and Raid. Which makes doing these activities a total waste of time. (Why grind an incredible hard Strike or spend hours doing these activities if I can get the same level gear from a Heroic Public Event?) It appears that it doesn't Matter if you have multiple characters of the same type it's the same issue across the board. The question is how can this be rectified? ( Short Answer Remove the Soft Leveling Caps and let players get increasing power level gear until they max out.) I would like to be rewarded and not punished for the hours I put in to complete the Milestones that supposed to drop More Powerful Gear than your current Power Level. My Wife and I both prefer to Play as Warlocks (It is what is) In Destiny 1 at least the gear that is supposed to drop at a higher level did so until you were maxed out Regardless of what type of Player you had. Destiny 2 thousands of Players all saying the same thing. Leveling Up System in Destiny 2 is broke. Is Bungie going to fix this?

same happend to me. i only have 1 titan at 277 light now all my rare, legendary, and exotic as well as vendor items all drop at 270 giving me no way to progress at all.

Has anyone figured out how to fix this? 285 and can't gain any power. Even exotics and powerful are stuck at 275.

I have a titan, Hunter & warlock, My titan and warlock are 305 but luminous engrams and packages etc are all dropping 295-298 wth?

It is already known that luminous Engrams on a second identical class character (like a second Titan) will not drop higher than your light level. I guess this extends to exotics as well. This is intended by Bungie. If you were playing a Hunter, they would be higher

I'm having the same issue.

This game has lost it's edge. I'm waiting for Anthem. Keep whining to Bungie they are on a tropical island spending your loot while you waste away your time trying to make sense of this bullshite.
