The reason this is more noticeable is because the primary weapons in this game are weaker than d1.
So as a squad you can literally group up right next to each other and have no fear of dying to even 2 decent players. A handcannon takes 4 shots, when it was 3, you could flank successfully and kill a player before he notices. Now after 2 shots a player can get away even with their back turned to you. The lack of special ammo/heavy weapons leads to this behavior as well. We don't have fast TTK weapons so PVP is becoming more of a group up as a squad sit in the back and wait. Its happening already, especially in a game type like survival. Thank god trials is countdown because if it was survival a card would take like 3 hours lol.
In almost every gametype the max score isnt reached unless you're in a squad of 4 and you decimate the other team. Its usually well under the finishing score because there is zero incentive to move around the map. Why leave a small area as a squad in clash/survival? Power ammo? A shotgun you can't get close enough, sniper flinch still exists so thats a challenge. A rocket will net you a few kills but then after that you're back to square one.
Really what needs to happen is primaries need to kill faster so a solo player can pick off 2 guys by flanking or a guy can win a 1v2. You could get 3 kills with one mag with a lot of primaries in D1. You cant do that in D2 because of how weak they are.
Thats just in the limited time Ive played.

i agree... ttk is just a bit to slow...

Trials as countdown is literally the worst thing I've heard in a long time. That game mode is garbage. I freaking hate the pvp in this game. It's so bad....

My hand cannons kills in 3 shots to the head within it's suggested range. All primaries can kill a guardian in less than a single clip, as long as you hit headshots. This includes pulses and autos etc.
