Pistols in a normal position. They must have great damage and short range and accuracy.
Here SMG feel is not logical. There are 2 options to fix them.
a). Increase the size of the cage and the total amount of ammunition.
b) Increase the damage but decrease the accuracy and range. (by the way this option will be closer to real behavior).
Pistols and SMG short-range weapons, do not forget this.

I'm only asking for Sidearm range to match Hand Cannon range. Both weapon types shine in close combat, but Sidearm damage dropoff starts just outside point blank range, whereas Hand Cannons let you put some distance between the gun and the target.

... If I'm not mistaken, both types of weapons have the same ammunition ... I see no reason that they would be very different in damage. A Revolvers have a greater range and accuracy due to the special cartridge and the length of the trunk. In my opinion, everything is logical.

Destiny 2 is about killing aliens with space magic, it's not supposed to be realistic. And as far as I know, no real - world cartridge suddenly loses a ton of its velocity at five metres and becomes anemic at fifteen.
