[BUNGIE] PlayStation Error CE-34878-0

Hello, We are aware of reports that some PlayStation 4 players encountering crashes when attempting to play Destiny 2. This results in [url=https://www.playstation.com/en-gb/get-help/help-library/error-codes/ce-34878-0/]PlayStation Error CE-34787-0[/url]. We are currently investigating with platform partners to identify the cause for this issue. [b]NOTE: [/b]Some players have reported that turning off HDCP settings on their PS4/PS4Pro Console has reduced the frequency in which this issue occurs.   • I guess it's just a lottery at this point. Some people said they've been able to get refunds so I tried. No luck. It's "due to the time frame". Sony support apparently doesn't even want to deal with this at all. I took 10 seconds to read something and the support agent disconnected on me. This is just an awful way to treat your customers Bungie and Sony. I think I'm going to try exchanging my PS4 Pro. It should still be under warranty. I don't really know what else to do at this point and I'm not holding my breath waiting for Sony or Bungie to fix it. Here's the chat if anyone wants to read it. I maybe got a wee bit snarky but I think given the circumstances it is understandable and not nearly as aggressive as some of the posts I've seen here, which again, I can understand. This whole situation is frankly just really disappointing. The game really should have been delayed given this major issue affecting a lot of people. If we could complete a refund for the content, the first agent would have helped you with the process but the game was purchased back on "03/30/2017", I am sorry but we are not able to complete a refund for it.   • Has anyone else noticed, that Bungie didn't even get the correct code in the Tweet? Error code is CE-34878-0. Tweet code: CE-34[b]787[/b]-0. I sure hope they're researching the correct code in house.

    Still no update on this problem? Destiny 2 is unplayable on my PS4pro. Game and PS4 freezes once per 2 hour or so. Actually i'm scared Destiny 2 will break my PS4pro.

    • guys i kinda hate to say this but finally i lost patience and went to get a new ps4pro - and honestly ive been playing all day since then ..not 1 single crash ive had all the same symptoms - crash on tomb raider demo ..crash freeze of graphics in d2 and error message as above mentioned...also artifacts and stuff i decided to give this a shot and well it does seem it is indeed a hardware problem - i will send my old ps4pro in for guarantee and then test it afterwards and then if all is ok i will sell it..

        D2 became unplayable on my standard PS4 system because of this error. Spoke with Sony on this yesterday, they & Bungie are aware. They suggested removal of checkmark on System/Enable HDCP Device Link. Unchecked same, no problems since.

            • Just remember guys that this is happening on standard PS4s too. People that bought Pros just recently are experiencing this, and people who've had standard PS4s for God knows how long, like myself, are experiencing this too. Old and new consoles alike are falling victim to this error. Whatever this issue is, I highly doubt it's because of the actual PS system. Think about how often this error happens to you. I've never experienced this in any of my other games, only Destiny 2. So before sending your consoles in for repair, wait it out and see how Bungie will fix this. In the meantime, an update would be nice ...

                • I quit playing Destiny 1 because Bungie never instituted a matchmaking ability for the raids. Essentially leaving people like me out of being able to participate in in-game content because I didn't have time to spend hours on other websites to hook up with people to do them with. Because of that I never purchased DLC and quit playing. I bought Destiny 2 after hearing they were going to make a way to get with others and do Raids with randoms. So I bought it. PS4 Pro freezes so bad that it has made it almost impossible to even do the campaign, much less any other game content. I bought my game at BestBuy and I am probably returning the game this week, getting my money back, and finished with games made by Bungie. I have dozens and dozens of other games and Destiny 2 is the only one that crashes. Not only crashes, but crashes so bad that I have to disconnect the power cord to even get the PS4 to power back up again. Shame on me for even giving them a second chance.

                  • It seems they arent even acknowledging this as an issue anymore. On the Bungie Help twitter page, there is no mention of this anymore. Instead there is a whole farm of errors... Add this the fact that Sony will not give refunds on digital games. So stuck with a $79 waste of GB on the drive. ...

                      it is very strange what happens to me, I bought the destiny 2 PS4 pro bundle I have 72MB connection (lan cat 6 cable), I can play the game just fine on the PS4 pro on a HD TV. but this is where it gets strange when i go to Destiny 2 settings and click logout (the way i always logout after playing Destiny 1-2) I then get the Error CE-34878-0, also after getting this code i send off the report then normally put my PS4 pro to sleep this morning i turned it on and could not see it on my TV, Held down the power button and nothing happened. had to disconnect the power before i could power on the PS4 pro and play on it. P.S Destiny 2 and no nothing els was open when i put it to sleep.
