Reading through the help topics I've seen this asked a number of times...I'll add my (or rather my son's) issue to that list as well.
Using my Xbox account...purchased the Deluxe version (I think...$100, so whatever that is) for my son. Using his account he beat the campaign today and is level 20 and none of the bonus content is available. I've uninstalled the bonus content and reinstalled...no go.
Any assistance would be appreciated! :/

I've also contacted Microsoft...who directed me back to Bungie. Microsoft provided me with a number to call and I will be calling them today. I'm sure they will punt it back to Microsoft...and around and around. Just so I'm checking the list of things to do for troubleshooting.
This article seems meaningless in this scenario ([url]https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/12181[/url]) as he could not have played the game without it being installed.
The steps in this article were done...no change ([url]https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/12539[/url]).
I uninstalled the bonus content add-ons...can't remember the names but there were two of them (both 10MB in size). I then reinstalled...no change.
The only step I haven't done is uninstalled all of Destiny 2 main game and add-ons and reinstalling.

I called the number for Bungie that Microsoft provided (I did try last night but figured the office would be closed at that time...however, last night I did not have the auto-attended options provided today):

So, I pressed 1 and was presented with "That mailbox is full...". I guess I'll go to help.bungie.net...wait...that is where I'm at...with zero assistance thus far. I'll update the ticket with Microsoft and provide them with the assistance I've received from Bungie.

Just an FYI for others that may experience the same issue. You have 60 days from the date of purchase to file a dispute with your credit card issuer (at least that was the time allotted by my issuer). As an example, I pre-ordered somewhere around 2 months ago, but the charge did not hit my card until the end of August. If you get into an infinite loop between Microsoft and Bungie for support on this type of issue; call your credit card issuer. I have done that and notified them, they made a note that I might call back to dispute based on "goods received not as advertised" (paraphrasing).

So...I called Microsoft again. For those of you who may fall under my scenario...you purchased the pre-order using your account for a family member (in my case a child) that plays under their account...that family member will not have access to the pre-order bonuses (as referenced below by xXErienaXx). The pre-orders are tied to the purchasing account. The reason explained to me for this behavior made sense; user A purchases game, user B and C get the bonus content without purchasing. However, in my case, this was a bogus reason. I did get a full refund of the purchase.

You will need to continue to contact Microsoft for assistance. Bare in mind only the purchasing account is licensed to get the pre order bonuses/guaranteed to get them.

It was the deluxe version of the game, but i have no access to the add-ons because he bought it on his account. He has never played the game nor does he intend to play the game. Is there any possible way that i could transfer the items or was paying the extra 40 some odd dollars a waste of money, or do i have to go off and buy the add-ons myself?

It doesn't show up in your mailbox. It is given to you by the gunsmith in the Tower. I beat the game and hit 20 on the Xbox and it was waiting for me at the gunsmith not the postmaster

I am going to try to uninstall the whole game tomorrow and reinstall it. See if that works. Hopefully it does.

Having the same problem here. Beat the main story and got to level 20 TWICE with different characters and none of my rewards were given. It's so frustrating.. Now the real question is, do we have access to Expansion passes 1 & 2?? Because if now I'm getting a refund ASAP

I have destiny 2 on my PS4, and as of yesterday (9/13) I still have not received the Coldheart Trace Rifle OR the Kill Tracker Ghost. I also do not have the Cabal Empire themed emblem, but I'm not really concerned with that one, I mainly just want the gun I should have. I pre-ordered the digital deluxe edition, I am level 20, and I have completed the campaign. Unless I am missing something, I should have received the top two items..

Whether it's an Xbox issue or a Bungie issue, they should be working together to let us know what the 100% firm, concrete stance is on this issue. EDIT: According to Microsoft (XBox) Bungie only want the base game to be shareable. Very disappointing that such things are not advised before purchase considering the Destiny 1 stance.

Same here, it's now the 13th, I've beat the campaign, still no pre-order items. Nothing was waiting at postmaster in the tower social space. Feeling ripped off here. Don't promise pre order items, and then not deliver. Probably won't pre order any more bungie games.

Same issue here. Only game my son & I both play. I would not have spent $100 to preorder if we both weren't to get the bonus content. I did the preorder because my son wanted it. Pretty salty about this....Bungie needs to make this right..!!

Got the ps4 pro edition, nothing hit 20 beat the campaign got nothing for the le pre order, doubt they will refund that amount of money back for "good not as expected" 🤔
