Can't dismantle weapons or gear, and can't change weapon or gear perks
Dear Bungie:
This Bug/problem is so significant, it leads me to believe that it requires a refund and cessation of playing the game. I cannot dismantle any weapon or piece of gear, not can I change the perks on any weapon or piece of gear. As you progress in the game, this bug makes Destiny 2 virtually unplayable. To the extent it matters, I am an xbox one player.
I have seen the problem reported on Reddit and here previously and as far back as the June beta, but I have not seen any acknowledgement by Bungie that you are aware players are reporting it.
I again emphasize, this bug makes the game virtually unplayable to the point of requiring a refund. Please at least do something to acknowledge you are at least aware of the problem and sympathetic to your player base that is experiencing it, even if it is a rare bug.

Note: Some players have stated that moving their right thumbstick during the attempted dismantle will sometimes help to work around this issue.

I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!!! THE CONTROLLER WANDERING RIGHT CONTROLLER STICK IS THE PROBLEM I just tested it after reading these comments and I am dumbstruck... how does this end up being a game braking issue?? If you're looking for the answer, this is it. Hold the right stick still or buy a new controller. Jesus.

Don’t know if it will actually fix it but I had this issue and I downloaded the destiny 2 companion app. Changed my equipment through there and it fixed the whole problem

Was this ever followed up on by Bungie with any solutions?? My controllers don’t have any drift issues that I know of; it just seems like the menu glitched out and won’t get back to normal —can’t change weapons, can’t dismantle anything, and also can’t claim bounties or engrams, HELP!!!

1 Replyall the people having this issue have stick drift on their right analog stick...i had this problem and switch controllers and it went away ...switch back and it returned

1 ReplyI am also having issues my inventory is full I can't fill my vault or my other characters with anymore gear I can dismantle gear or change the shade of my gear or use weapon upgrades or emotes its crazy I thought destiny would have this fixed by now I'm really frustraded.

I have been having the same problem and now it finally got to the point that I have no space and doesn't matter how many times I lock and unlock it doesn't finish the disassembly I want to play really bad but there is no point I can not get any new gear or weapons so what am I supposed do come on BUNGIE this is like the smallest problem fix it Quickly Please this is unfair and it's not like they will ever compensate for the time lost or for anything. This SUCKS!

I have this problem. It occurs on my controller where the right stick wanders. The game reads the stick moving and won't allow a dismantle unless the stick is idle. Use a controller where the stick works correctly or fix the controller.

This is completely unacceptable bungie... Get your shit together. I should not have to press anything but the button it says to push to dismantle. If you're not going to fix in game add the feature to dismantle in app for crying out loud

Xbox One player: same problems. 1. Have to lock/unlock weapon to be able to dismantle 2. Can't pick up emblems and emotes in the vault 3. Can't change perks on weapons. 1&2 are not game breaking but point 3 is a pretty bad bug.

If you lock and unlock the item you are trying to dismantle it works most of the time.

2 RepliesSame, have had this problem since the beta... but only on console, on PC dismantling worked fine. If it makes any difference, my right joystick is stuck in the up position a bit, as it moves my view slowly upwards if I take my thumb off of it.

YESSSSS MY VAULT IS ALMOST FULL VERY FRUSTRATING CANNOT CONTINUE TO GET A HIGHER LIGHT LEVEL WITHOUT BEING ABLE TO PICK UP ITEMS! Sorry just frustrated as I took the day off from work to battle with my friends and they have reached 20 while I had to quit and try and find a solution. Please help bungie The last 8 hours have been wasted. Thanks.

1 ReplyGood to se Bungie is on the case. I played for a short while yesterday and was able to dismantle gear at least. Havent tried today. I use the elite controller. Not sure if that makes a difference or not.
