Best solo PvE class will definitely be Attunement of Hunger Voidwalker in my opinion. I have no doubts about that. Played to many MMOs/RPGs not too see how that tree perks will self healing will turn out:
You can heal fully consuming greande of heal fully using you melee. If you kill with melee or when you consume nade- you get 9 seconds of Devour Effect. While it is active each kill is healing you, recharging your grenade and reset your Devour to 9 seconds again (from 1 sec left to 9 again for example). So lets say you kill with melee, heal, Devour on, you throw nade a enemies- enemies get kill by it, reset Devour, heal, recharge grenade, you pull a sword (or stay with gun) and go to town and kill, throw that recharaged nade again, kills again (and all kills, again, heal you, reset Devour and your grenade). You are in tough spot? Well, just consume nade to heal yourself on emergency? Nade on CD? Well, melee someone and heal fully? Melee on cooldown? Well, we still have healing rift, eh? :D
Combine that with their new exotic helmet that recharge abilities on Void damage kills and voila.
If you want to see how insane healing is watch here 13:45: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rMHRQf6eYaA&feature=youtu.be&t=825 (though player did not know how to use class and for example never recharge his nade in Devour and never consumed it but it shows you some at least).
This will be best tank in game for any PvE heavy with Ads and yellows (especially with Sword and blink). You will just go for them like champ, devouring their souls and life!
Not best team player mind you as you need to go for kills like mad.
Trust me- this will be the best class for solo PvE content and best subclass for Sword using. You will storm through mobs with it. Reminds me of Melee Krieg in Borderlands 2 with his insane healing.
For Team PvE using? Nightstalker, Sentinel and Stormcaller. But for Solo PvE- Hunger Voidwalker 100%.We will hjave to see how needed is good regen tank in Raids/Strikers etc. but I think unkillable subclass will find its way to teams :)

Edited by Brandolier: 9/4/2017 7:49:29 PMI was predicting this class will be insane. Mostly use grenades to get Devour instead of kills so you heal like mad, and kills while Devour are active recharge your grenade anyway. That better than the Blade Dancer's self-healing was with his super active. OP AF. I ran polls and this isn't lost on people. Voidwalkwr with Attunement of Hunger polled as the second most desired subclass and path to play after Nightstalker on Way of the Pathfinder. Really, this ability should be in Arc Strider for me Lee kills since it is the most Marlee oriented class in the game. Arc Strider has the only super with almost no range and half his perks revolve around melee.

You should have seen Voidlocks in D1, homie. Nothing Manacles + Hunger of the Void + lifesteal. Two powerful grenades that exploded into smaller explosives which would then seek out targets. Easily killing most enemies. Then, thanks to Hunger, your grenade energy would be restored, along with your health. Void burn nightfalls could be completed with nothing else but grenades and supers.

Nazerac's Sin Exotic Helmet

2 RepliesSince how long are you a warlock? I mean like, have you've been living under a rock? It was already a thing in D1
-
I managed to Solo heroic glimmer extraction with that build, a full auto shotgun and sunshot. It's incredible !
-
4 RepliesGo play d1 and learn this game before you say something so stupid. So many newbs it hurts
-
I noticed this as well. The amount of healing the Voidwalker can do is insane and will really push them to the front lines taking on adds. I already grabbed Eye of Another World through the storyline for the extra ability cooldown speed. I don't know if the armor rewarded from the storyline has random stats but I was able to max out recovery on mine while a pre-installed mod added resilience. I want to see what a Void Hunger Warlock will be able to achieve at high levels of play.

thanks was debating on running warlock out the gate much appreciated its settled

1 ReplyYou're clearly new to destiny
-
1 ReplyI agree, but dont forget u are relying on kills and not simply on dmg done. Also, secondary gunslinger spec has very much single target dps, which is the most needed. Peace
-
Sounds like fun. Maybe my first D2 video will be a Voidwalker montage, set to "Da Nova Bomb-Bomb."
You can heal fully consuming greande of heal fully using you melee
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
-
1 ReplyIt'll be great as long as bungie doesn't nerf it into the ground.
-
10 RepliesI've been doing that Voidwalker infinite grenade heal shit since D1. lol
-
2 RepliesLet me tell you about something I'm eager to try with the Titan, spoiler ahead so look at your own peril.
there's an exotic helmet for Titans that grants ability energy when damaged and starts hp regen when dealing void damage. If this works with void weapon damage then this will make the Titan very tanky.
-
It'll be powerful but has its flaws vs high health enemies and mobile bosses.
-
Void was top notch in destiny 1 as well.
-
1 ReplyThat was hard to watch such a bad player.
-
My favorite way to play destiny, if you can't tell by the name. I mained voidwalker all of D1 with nothing manacles for basically this kind of build.

Edited by Der_Peevmeister: 9/4/2017 9:28:56 PMHear that thumping sound? It's the Nerfbat be tapped up and down repeatedly on a desk in Bellevue, WA... Just waiting.......
-
2 RepliesThis will be nerfed to the ground, so I'm not holding my breath.
-
I've always liked the raw sense of power you get from playing Warlocks, but my heart still lies with the Golden Gun. Can't wait for Path of the Sharpshooter so I get an excuse to use Goldy in raids.
-
3 RepliesHang on, you did you say that you didn't play D1?
-
6 RepliesIt'll get nerfed.

7 RepliesMy bet is on NS second tree. Use your first arrow to tether a boss then use the other 2 to deal "massive damage". That's what the perk says
