I primarilly play on PC, however since I played Destiny on xbox I kinda have to stick with it. I would prefer playing on PC without losing the rewards and friends I had on xbox. It would also make the game more accessible and allow more people to play with their friends.
I don't care about cross platform gameplay as much, however. I just hope that I'll be able to log into my xbox account from within Destiny 2 PC when it drops.
Thanks for reading!

5 RepliesWon't ever happen, that'd mean Sony giving up on PS exclusives
and as a PS4 pro owner I'm completely against that
Sony will never allow this. That's just a fact. They are very protective of keeping things on their platform only. See their decision with Minecraft and compare it to Microsoft. (I'm not saying Sony is bad because of this, or "hating" on them, its just the way things are. Who knows what all these contracts read like between all these companies as well.)
-
100% this. I'm in the same boat. PC players at heart, but I don't want to abandon my friends from D1.
-
Yeah it would be sweet to cross play and share accounts with PC and Xbox but since they have been going down on Sony as of late I strongly doubt it . However who knows mabey that's a way they can bring the love back to ms ....

2 RepliesI wish there was Microsoft-Sony cross play for Destiny 2. All the gamer friends I had growing up have said they're getting Destiny 2, but it's an even split between Xbox and PlayStation. I could only imagine the fun we would have with shared network play. We could also have Xbox vs PlayStation private matches, husbands vs wives (the wives would win of course, we're not stupid), parents vs kids (kids would win) and brother vs brother in a no holds barred battle royale (I would win, guaranteed).

5 RepliesHonestly I don't get how this game isn't part of the Xbox Play Anywhere program. Doesn't make sense.

Transferring progress SHOULD be a no-brainer with everything linked to a bungie account; I'm shocked that won't be available. Cross-platform play, though, especially with PC is a lot tougher, just from a "way easier to be precise with a mouse/keyboard setup than with a controller" standpoint. I had read that's one of the biggest hang ups coming with Battlegrounds; trying to figure out how to balance the experience so one platform doesn't have an automatic advantage

More likely with microsoft but sounds like sony are being cocks

Magic Conch Shell will we get cross accounts and cross play? "Maybe some day"

3 RepliesEdited by SmashvilleViking: 9/4/2017 4:53:03 AMIt's funny to see all of the people that don't know that Sony asked for cross-play with MS years ago. MS said no... Revenge is a bitch...

I just want my characters to carry to each system.

10 RepliesXbox pc is possible but xbox PS4 isn't going to happen due to Sony not wanting to for whatever reason Microsoft has made multiple attempts to enable cross platform play but Sony doesn't seem to want to have anything to do with it
-
5 Repliessomething like you can only cross play with xbox (because sony isn't about that life) and you can only join lobby's/crossplay with an xbox controller connected to your PC, the PC detects the controller and caps the game at 30 FPS, and enables aim assist
-
10 RepliesDude anyone on console would be wiped out against a PC player with mouse and keyboard.
-
Just account sharing would be nice
-
Unless you can get Microsoft and Sony to touch gizmos it won't happen.
-
cross play between xbox and ps4 would be ok but never with pc as they have to much of an advantage being able to run the game at higher frame rates plus the accuracy of a mouse vs controller but i can understand sony saying no to crossplay they have huge lead on xbox they want you to play on there system they dont want an xbox player playing with a ps4 player they want the xbox player to become a ps4 player its kinda stupid they cant do cross save tho via bungie account
-
I'm not in agreement with cross-play, due to keyboard/mouse advantage, but cross platform saves on the other had, would be great. I honestly would buy the game twice to get the PC experience but also to stick with my friends on Xbox.
-
I can understand Xbox and PC wanting cross play. Majority of the player base is on PS4.
-
6 Replieswhy would you want cross platform play? that means you have to battle against PC players using keyboard and mouse. No matter how good you are in PvP your no match for a keyboard and mouse.
-
I think the reason sony will never allow this is due to the fact that they want people to leave xbox. Most of my friends have moved onto PC I had like 2 whiny little babies saying to me "I like my shooters on console" well have fun playing alone everyone else is playing this shit at 60 fps in 2 months.
-
Good luck getting Sony to agree to that, even if it's just Xbox/PC cross play Sony still will do its best to stop it.

Edited by CntrlAltNate: 9/3/2017 3:06:18 PMShit, I just want my saves to transfer. I've got D2 on the Xbox now but plan on getting it for PC later and I would really like for my progress to transfer over.

I want it to... switching to xbox around christmas to play with friends

Cross-Platform play will literally never become a mainstream feature for games.
