Raid goes live on a Wednesday 10am Pt when, depending on what side of the world you're on, your at work/school or asleep getting ready the next work/school day.
Not only that but we have to be raid ready in a week!
Edit: just because a lot of people are saying the same thing, I'm putting a reply here.
No I don't have to do a raid day 1, but as someone that has, it's way more fun and it would be better for the community if a lot more people got the option to do it without being at home all week grinding it out or PC players having to avoid spoilers longer.
And of course I really don't care about time of day since since its a worldwide game, but near a weekend would be better.
Also I wasn't just posting this for myself, as I have a clan with 6 mates that I can convince to do blind. This post is a reaction to the toxicity that had been lfg. Anyone that has used lfg after its been out (or heard the stories) knows that a small number of people can be cool but a large majority are impatient jerks. If more people got in on equal ground it would bond more people than separate them.
Maybe the new ingame clan systems will help with some of that, maybe they won't. Maybe with the new engine we'll get more updates frequently after the raid instead of months of dry spells, maybe we won't. We'll have to wait and see.

Or maybe there's not as much content as they have led on and we can be raid ready in a couple days

2 RepliesEdited by Enola: 9/2/2017 12:07:45 AMi stopped reading at the "we have to be raid ready in a week" Why? Why do we HAVE to be raid ready in a week? Why cant we enjoy the game and take our time? I mean I don't know about you. But the country I'm from. I don't have a gun held to me head with someone saying I HAVE to do anything. Also the raid isn't going anywhere. So who cares? Except for you hardcore no lifers. (not meaning you dont have a life just meaning the few that can take a break from life and play 24/7... Also im jealous.)

I was going to say "Hey that blows" but now I realize that it is more of what works for Bungie situation. I mean think about it, Bungie is at work, they are in that timezone, it is a smart time to "launch" content, because they have a FULL staff standing by ready to debug, repair, monitor, etc. And it isn't on a Friday so they don't risk blowing their weekends off. Mon-Tuesday they prep, Wednesday launch, thurs-friday, repair before weekend if needed. Really its smart placement, and as for the time of day, well its just late enough in the morning that they can come in relaxed, get time to settle in and LAUNCH! Then they have the rest of the day to watch it. Remember they are employees too, and their work ends when our fun begins. We no have fun, they still work. At least that is my thoughts on it.

Wahhh?

I'm trying so hard to understand these posts. I guess I just never had a problem with LFG to worry about a bad experience and I have the discipline to avoid spoilers if I don't want to see them. In the end, it's just a video game. Release it a week, a month, the day after, whatever. I'll play it when I feel like it.

1st world problems......

16 RepliesVoG was released a week after Destiny 1 launch. Crota was playable Day One Prison of Elders was playable day one Stop complaining

Bungie doesnt cater to anyone. If they were to cater to streamers they would have handed out more than an emblem for streaming. Don't bash them or streamers for putting in the time. Furthermore, you dont have to raid on day 1. You dont have to do the raid at all. There's more than one way to hit max light

7 RepliesEdited by AscendantPotato: 9/1/2017 4:46:18 AMWrath of the machine dropped 3 days after Rise of Iron was released on a Friday. Kings fall dropped 3 days after The Taken King was released on a Friday. Crotas end released THE SAME DAY as The Dark Below on a Tuesday. Vault of Glass released on a Tuesday 7 days after the game launched. In this franchise, raids dropping shortly after content drops and during the week isn't a new thing. Why are you surprised by this news?
-
Wow looking through your grimore you have 0 raid completions.
-
I don't stream and I took a week off. And I'll be going in blind day one. It doesn't "cater" to anyone besides those who grind.

Edited by monkyken: 9/1/2017 1:05:32 PMDid you ever think that just maybe they want to be able to watch users attempting the raid they put serious effort into and have the majority of their staff on hand in case theirs any issues or bugs that need fixing? There are streamers in the UK, Europe, Aussie as well as the US and god knows how many other places, it seems a bit short sighted to say that because it releases at 10AM they are helping streamers when in reality streamers are everywhere.

2 RepliesF*ck Streamers and F○CK TWITCH.
-
It has nothing to to do with streamers. Take off your tinfoil hat. Why should Bungie release Trials and the Raid on the same day? They're doing the right thing by splitting them up. Some of us actually enjoy both pve and pvp endgame content.
-
2 Repliesyou don't have to be ready you can raid anytime you want
-
First of all, how does that cater to streamers? Second of all, pretty much anything bungie has ever put into this game has started at 10 am pacific time, because that is Bungies local time. Why would they launch something in their off hours? Thirdly, do the raid on your own terms, you do not need to be raid ready in a week. They have always released the raid about one week after the launch of whatever expansion it was, because some people will be ready for it.

2 RepliesThe raid isn't going anywhere bro and u don't have to be raid ready in 1 week.
-
2 RepliesI think streamers would always have a advantage to be fair. They get the time to play the game a hell of a lot more then everyone else. I don't really care about worlds first myself, I'm just worried of spoilers before my group raids on the Friday.

Stop 😢

1 ReplyEdited by PapaSubpar: 9/1/2017 5:19:52 AM
Not only that but we have to be raid ready in a week!
No, no you do not need to be raid ready in a week. The raid will still be there after the first week.
-
2 RepliesIll be raid ready and beat that shit blind day 1, always have always will, and ive never streamed a single game, never have and never will.
-
9 Repliesin a worldwide environment, you are gonna screw over a group of people with whatever time you release. Me personally doesn't care, I won't be the first to clear the raid, but you don't get anything for being first, I will be happy just clearing it day1 on it's release
-
This honestly seems like pure bait. No ones telling you to be raid ready by that Wednesday but you. You're just being informed of when you can first play the raid.
-
heh rushing to the end game is nothing new. people have been doing this since the first MMO, shoot people do it in single player games just to see how long it takes them to finish the main story line. Sadly the people that do this are some what hard to recognize. well until they die within a few minutes of a strike starting.
-
Ok so ...
-
2 RepliesI don't think that. I think we been given a vertical slice thus far. Maybe the game is hollow n you can be max level in a day
