TLDR: AA on a mouse is terrible and I don't understand why anyone would want it.
Yes I have a XIM, the reason for the purchase was I built a rig and dumped a few hundred hours into it. I wanted to play Destiny with my friends again and discovered I had lost all of my thumb skill, so I bought a XIM. Did it make me a better player then before I had it and constantly played, NO! I purchased the product to have ONE UNIVERSAL INPUT
Having AA on a mouse is -blam!-ing infuriating. Moving 45° for the headshot just for AA to move your aim to the body so you have to correct your aim and move up to get the head shot is terrible.
Or to be scoped in and for someone to drag your scope is not something you want. The whole time all I wanted was to turn off AA but it was being shoved down my throat.
Yes I played the PC beta and never once did I want the AA back, I was extremely happy that it was gone and it was no longer affecting my aim. If BUNGIE has the ability to look at the stats they are my witness.
So with all of this take note from one XIM user, IMO the XIM only hinders a mouse not help.
If any other XIM users are brave enough to post share your thoughts on the topic.

2 RepliesEdited by Luminous: 9/1/2017 8:36:40 PMI have a XIM4 I use exclusively for console (Go ahead and hate). The thing with the AIM ASSIST on KB/M is yeah, sure it feels like shit at first, but you get used to it, it's the stupidest shit ever. It's broken plain and simple, if you are saying it's not good you are simply mistaken/to use to 1:1 that you don't realize just how OP aim assist on a mouse can truly be. Look at what has happened with online competitive COD, there's a reason keyboarders are hated. We have a mouse which is already superior on it's own, bundled with an in game AA system that is strong af and easily abused. By all means keep AA enabled for PVe, but for PvP it has to go. EDIT: Also, you don't even need a XIM4 on PC to get the AA, just some software that emulates mouse to controller. Overwatch had AA, same shit happened, Overwatch removed AA.

I've used the Xim on xbox 360 and on xbox1 it felt like I was cheating with the aim assist on. I felt guilty after trying it for a round. It snaps so hard to targets it felt like what I imagine an aim bot would feel like.

1 ReplyWhat's the point of XIM? I thought at first it was like a controller mouse keyboard thing that registers as controller, but now it seems like some sort of usb hub. Makes no sense to own one since I can just plug my xbox controller into pc?

dude i hate aa even on my controller.... its annoying as -blam!-... and yes i dont need aa on controller... the amounts it has killed me in cod and bf and other shooters is so high i stopped counting... its not that hard to shoot with controllers... i dont even understand why we get aa.... probably for thos baby gamers. i dont know but i do hate aa.. they should just get rid of it, completly on every game on console.. we dont need that shit. nobody does. only quickscopers noobs need that ik n console for an even easier kill.

1 ReplyI totally agree. KB/M is awful with aim assist. I bought a XIM for my Xbox. I only play BF4 with it. Luckily, you can turn aim assist off, in BF4, on XB1. I tried it in Destiny. I felt like it wasn't smooth enough for my liking. The amoumt of time it took to set up my XIM, was crazy. It seemed like the minor adjustment threw my aim off heavily. My PC isn't powerful enough to run games. (Its a laptop built strictly for DJing.)
