We understand.
We just don't buy into the hysteria.
1. The problem is cheating.
2. You don't deal with cheating by punishing players who are using the game as intended.
3. Any time you use any kinds of external software you create input lag. So any advantage someone gains by using XIM4, will be offset by increased input lag.
The reverse of this issue has already been dealt with in the Destiny community. Players (notably a few streamers) using software that allows them to use mouse-and-keyboard on console.
One of the guys who does this, talked about having to deal with the slower response time in an interview. But in his case, it was worth it getting to play with an input method he was comfortable with.

My sentiments exactly. I won't be playing on PC but I don't like the way this thread and others like it seems to be headed at all. Punishing the innocent for the crimes of the guilty is not the way to go

Read further down. This isn't just about punishing the guilty. There is a lot of PC Master Race elitism----and a strong dose of ignorance about what it is that AA actually does----going on here as well. Because---once you start to press them----a number of posters here finally start to admit that either they----or other PC players----also consider AA with a controller to be "cheating". As if.

I like that "PC Master Race elitism" is always an argument for console players, most of you are starting to use it when it doesnt have any sense, just like black people with racism.

I am black, so I have 49 years of first hand experience with racism....and I'm a former PC gamer with 15 years of experience playing games on PC. ...and you're full of shit on both fronts. PC gamers have the nasty habit of looking down their noses at console gamer for no other reason that it makes insecure people feel better about themselves by convincing themselves that they are "better" than someone else. In this case, its the -blam!-ed-up notion that PC gamers are somehow "intrinsically" better than console gamers (you aren't)...and the "PC way" of doing things is the only "legitimate" way of doing things (it isn't). The fact is that I've had to learn how to play action games---and FPS---on both mouse and keyboard..and with a controller. So I can tell you from personal experience that trying to do with a controller is VASTLY more difficult than doing it with a mouse and keyboard. Which is why M&K playrers always beat up on controller players when going head-to-head. You mouse-and-keyboard users aren't as "skilled" as you're over-inflated egos want you to think you are. Make no mistake about it.....If I put you on a controller....a good console player will beat you to within an inch of your life. Aim-assist or not. Because he will have developed a degree of skill with the device that you simply don't have. I can play with a mouse-and-keyboard....but I don't ENJOY doing it..and I RESENT the attitude of "conformity" that is being expressed on this thread. That I'm somehow a "pleb" for not conforming and returning to playing with a mouse-and-keyboard. When the real issue is one of dealing with cheaters....and elitist who think that aim-assist with a controller is cheating. Bungie needs to deal with the former. YOu need to get over yourself with the latter. I shouldn't be forced to play with a mouse-and-keyboard because of cheaters.
