Can we have 3rd Person as an OPTION In PvE in destiny 2 ? Maybe add it in an update? I enjoy playing Last Rites because of the 3rd person and would like too see my guardian all the time. I don't know about anyone else but I feel like I can see more of the world in 3rdPS and I hate having to point or dance just to look at my sexy guardian (in before use a sword).
Again It would only be for Pve and an optional feature. Just thinking about the new shaders and how we can apply them to sections of the guardians body and how cool It would be to see those patterns all the time rather than when we are in a social (not really social) space, using a sword, or holding that glowy orb thing on patrols.
Plus
Wont name players, but it's come to my attention that some players deal with motion sickness, vertigo, ect wo also love the game find its hard too enjoy it sometime because of the crazy amounts of movements in first person, 30fps, and the lighting the game has. Not me, but players with medical conditions like these should be take into account just as much as anyone else that loves this universe.
I know ill get a load of hate and nonsense in the comments, and don't care if you down vote me, but at least I put it out there.
Thanks for reading, can't wait for the 5th!!

3 RepliesThe only game I've played that effectively incorporates first and third person is a game called Deus Ex Human Revolution, where you can enter cover for shooting around walls and over obstacles, but otherwise you play the game in first person. Destiny absolutely cannot work that way. Primarily because of pvp. You'd never get a line of sight on a target.
-
I couldn't imagine playing this game in third person, it's not like it's a cover shooter.
-
This will never happen.
-
5 RepliesTo me third person is terrible. The division would have been pretty good but the third person ruined it. Third person has no immersion or enjoyment for different scopes, etc.
-
but then it lwof be a copy of warfrmee

5 RepliesDestiny is not a 3rd person fps, it's a first person fps pvp game. When I say pvp game it's bc bungie completely ruined the fun in d1 pve with nerfs for pvp. D2 is no different except bungie ruined the fun before launch by changing a huge gameplay mechanic, dual primaries, dumbest decision ever for pve.
-
The third person on Last Rites seemed so wasted. You had the power to use all your weapons, but if you shot at anything you died. I hope sometime we could get a more lasting and functional third person experience in D2
-
I could see them adding more interactions that need a 3rd person camera (raid mechanic that needs a view of a bigger area or an Uncharted-style puzzle) but they'll probably stick to first person for the core controls...unfortunately that sexy guardian won't receive a full on 3rd person treatment...good idea though.
-
While I agree with the change, I get the feeling they won't add it in since it's already so close to launch. I don't even know if something like that can be added in a patch, but what the hell do I know

Destinies of War. xP
-
There always Battlefront if you want a 3rd person shooter
-
No..Just no.
-
FPS means First Person Shooter.
-
I'd support an option.
-
Hell no
-
-
An option would be good
-
If you have a medical condition that flares up when gaming... you probably shouldnt game xD
-
Just wait for Anthem?

While I do like the third person moments in this game, like running the spark in Oryx and slamming Aksis' back, it's a first person shooter.
-
1 ReplyEh it would be okay. Tbh though i would much rather bungie focus on other stuff like expansions and new stuff
-
No, just no.
-
4 Repliesthey should put that on a button... so whenever you feel like it you push that button and switch to third person! and when you need that fps shooting skills you instantly swap back with a push of a button.. that would really be cool imho. also first person sparrow riding would be cool

3rd person does not belong in a 1st person shooter.

Edited by RPColten: 9/1/2017 5:05:31 AMIt would be fantastic. We've already experienced for three years now that the game can support players running around in the third person having no trouble at all with maneuvering and handling hallways and corridors. Definitely hope it is not allowed for PvP outside of potential private matches though. Just personal reasons though.
