One Bungie profile takes up multiple member slots in a clan (i.e., one per platform)?

Is that working as intended? If so I can see how it could be rationalized - just curious if it's actually the intent. I (and others in our clan) play on multiple platforms and, as such, have Bungie accounts linked to PSN, XB1 and, now, Blizzard. I recall that players can join one D2 clan per platform, which made sense. However, if I want all of my linked platforms to be associated with a single clan, should that really take up one clan slot for each? Because that's what appears to be happening. Was this intended? Were individual clans envisioned to be platform-specific? Thanks!! p.s. I guess this goes under "Website Companion", since I can't find a Clan Support forum subcategory.

Yep. So Clans can have a maximum of 100 Destiny Accounts enrolled, and a Blizzard, Xbox and PlayStation account all count as separate Destiny Accounts. What this means is that someone who plays on all three consoles could take up 3/100 of the Clan spaces.
I recall that players can join one D2 clan per platform, which made sense.
Yes, so your Xbox Account could join the Clan "A", and your Blizzard Account could join the Clan "B". Keep in mind that PC/Xbox/PlayStation accounts are separate, so needing to be in three different clans (or one Clan with three accounts) is the best way that it would work.
Were individual clans envisioned to be platform-specific?
There was no intention for them to be platform-specific. You could have an Xbox-only Clan if you wish, or you could have a Clan for all three. I would suggest checking out the Destiny 2 Clans Guide for more information.

Hello renaldafeen, Yes that is working as intended. The way Clans operate in Destiny 2 is different then in Destiny 1, clans are limited to 100 total system accounts.
Membership Limit:Total membership for all Clans is capped at 100 Destiny accounts. A player can have Destiny accounts on different platforms in the same Clan, however each platform account will count as a separate Clan member.
DESTINY 2 CLANS GUIDE
