    • I purchased the Foundation Emblem pin, but here are a couple of the problem with it: 1) Nobody gives two craps about the actual pin. They just want to donate and show their support. They charge a shipping charge to get the pin, and you don't get the emblem code until the pin shows up in your mailbox. Because of this, I think a lot of people that go to the bungie store with the intent of purchasing it don't end up doing so b/c they don't like the idea of paying for shipping on something that will immediately go into the trash. 2) I purchased it two days ago and it still hasn't shipped. Now, I'm typically not the type of dude to have a baby blue emblem with hearts on it, but I wanted to publicly display my support for my fellow guardians in Houston when D2 launches, and now that's not going to happen. What they need to do is at least have the option of JUST selling the code. No wasting money on shipping and you get the emblem code immediately. Hell, charge me the "shipping fee" and donate that too. I don't care. The intent was good, but it wasn't very well thought out in this case.

Bought three... one for me, my husband and son. We live in Conroe, Texas and our living room flooded, we managed to keep the water out of the rest of the house with a small sump pump and creating a "dam" from leaves we had bagged up a few weeks back, which diverted most of the water around to the side of our house. After everything, we feel extremely lucky... we didn't lose power and only have to worry about clean-up in one room. And while the rains never stopped and the constant tornado and flash flood alerts kept sounding on our phones, in between baling water from the back porch and keeping the drains clear... we played Destiny. Our son will be 8 years old next week, mains a Hunter and is so excited for Destiny 2 that he requested Destiny decorations be part of his video game themed birthday party! We kept him distracted from our fears of losing our entire house to flood waters by pew, pewing Siva Fallen, Shield Brothers and Taken! It may seem silly to some, but that small thing, helped get us through this and realize how blessed we truly were to be given moments of levity under such challenging circumstance. Tomorrow, we'll take donations to his elementary school to help our fellow Texans that lost so much. I'm so incredibly proud of my state and how we are reaching out to help each other. I'm humbled by the amazing generosity of our fellow Americans and friends from around the world. Thank you Guardians, even the smallest gesture can have significant impact. We look forward to rocking our Heart Emblems next week and sharing many light-"hearted" moments with some pretty awesome Guardians!

      • Know what the most depressing thing is? Every second trillions of intelligent life forms die in this endless cosmos, were less then a grain of sand on mars. If we as a species died no own would here our cries. People say aliens don't exist, ask them for proof, ask them if they have explored the cosmos. The chance of there being intelligent life elsewhere in the milky way alone is 100%. I use depressing logic, i'm not sure if aliens have visited earth or not but based on our violent and dominant nature as a species, it'd be we ethir rule the cosmos or get snuffed out. So pray we never meet aliens.

          • Already sold out, what about a charity for india, pakistan and Nepal? The one where 1200 people are dead? America is more than capable of helping themselves, it doesn't make sense for them to get the charity and not india, pakistan and Nepal.

To quote a GREAT -blam!-ING AMERICAN !!! who inspired and opened the mind of a young English guardian many years ago before destiny was even though of. The world is like a ride at an amusement park, and when you choose to go on it, you think it's real, because that's how powerful our minds are. And the ride goes up and down and round and round and it has thrills and chills and it's very brightly colored and it's very loud. And it's fun, for a while. Some people have been on the ride for a long time, and they begin to question: 'Is this real? Or is this just a ride?' And other people have remembered, and they come back to us and they say 'Hey! Don't worry, don't be afraid -- ever -- because... this is just a ride.' And we kill those people. 'Shut him up! We have a lot invested in this ride! Shut him up! Look at my furrows of worry; look at my big bank account, and my family. This has to be real.' It's just a ride. But we always kill those good guys who try and tell us that -- ever notice that? -- and we let the demons run amok. But it doesn't matter, because... it's just a ride, and we can change it any time we want. It's only a choice. No effort. No worry. No job. No savings and money. Just a choice, right now, between fear and love. The eyes of fear want you to put bigger locks on your door, buy bigger guns, close yourself off. The eyes of love, instead, see all of us as one. Here's what we can do to change the world, right now, into a better ride. Take all that money we spend on weapons and defense each year and, instead, spend it feeding, clothing and educating the poor of the world, which it would do many times over -- not one human being excluded -- and we can explore space together, both inner and outer, forever. In peace. Pretty sure there's a decent bit of advice in there. As the bigotry on these forums is as dense as the darkness that taints this world.
