Destiny 2 stuck at connecting [SOLVED?]

Hello, First of all, I've been searching everywhere and it seems like no one else is having this issue. The game starts up normally, i get to the main screen and press enter, then it just stays at the "connecting" screen forever. I have tried disabling any virtual network adapters that i had, disabled my firewall, restarted the Battle.net client and scanned/repaired the game client as well. EDIT: Apparently, i just had to wait about 20 minutes for it to connect. I'll update if anything changes. EDIT 2: Yep, every time i enter the game, i have to wait 15-20 minutes for the game to "connect".

  • Don't know if you are having the issue still, but here in 2023 I'm having this issue with no idea of how to fix it.

    • I have had limited success on PC, and PS5 by changing my DNS settings to google DNS (8.8.8.8) in both the PS5 and my router. Not 100% but better most of the time. I never had issues via Xbox Series X and Stadia (I will miss stadia)

    • For me switching to my mobile internet with usb adapter worked but its really frustrating to do that all the time when you enter the game.

Found a "new" fix Tried every fix in the book so far... %appdata% delete files on bungie folder reinstalling both game and battlenet client to diffirent locations. swapping regions in battlenet Even bought the game because I was a trial account Bungie and battlenet account reintegration What finally worked : activate VPN, now it works... Tried to disable protocols that make VPN and basic internet diffirent without luck. didnt work both in LAN or WLAN, so rolling back drivers probably wont help...

    • This worked on me, now under sec connnect. Go to the search Bar and search %appdata% Then select Bungie > DestinyPC > prefs Delete the two items in that folder

      • I was able to fix the same issue by just restarting my router and then connecting back into battle.net. So far it has worked twice for me. It may or may not work for you but give it a try anyway. Hope this helps something else in the same boat. :)

      • Hello. Same problem for me. After reinstalling the game,it connects almost instantly for a couple of times, now it has gone back to the 20min connecting problem.

      • Bump! Same Problem here - no solution so far. Seems to be a problem of IPv6 Internet-Connections (eventually with IPv4 DS-Lite). Can't manage to turn either off because of my ISP.
