The idea is simple but do what you did for Nepal raising money for a natural disaster well this one even as I write this is going on now and it's the same kind of thing it's what we need to do is raise money and help these poor folks that are even now suffering streaming or having an emblem that sort of thing again showing that you care

1 ReplyI purchased the Foundation Emblem pin, which isn't typically specific to the relief of one cause, but they are making it so for the time being to go to the hurricane victims here in the Houston area, so props to them for at least that... But, here are a couple of the problem with it: 1) Nobody gives two craps about the actual pin. They just want to donate and show their support. They charge a shipping charge to get the pin, and you don't get the emblem code until the pin shows up in your mailbox. Because of this, I think a lot of people that go to the bungie store with the intent of purchasing it don't end up doing so b/c they don't like the idea of paying for shipping on something that will immediately go into the trash. 2) I purchased it two days ago and it still hasn't shipped. Now, I'm typically not the type of dude to have a baby blue emblem with hearts on it, but I wanted to publicly display my support for my fellow guardians in Houston when D2 launches, and now that's not going to happen. What they need to do is at least have the option of JUST selling the code. No wasting money on shipping and you get the emblem code immediately. Hell, charge me the "shipping fee" and donate that too. I don't care. The intent was good, but it wasn't very well thought out in this case.

2 RepliesThis is a great idea and I don't get the issue people are having with the OP. He isn't begging for an emblem for doing something kind. Calling it entitlement is way off. Were Bungie to create an emblem available for purchase with all proceeds going to help those who have been affected in Houston how in any way, shape or form is this a bad thing? Who cares if some are out there donating just for the emblem because in reality the money is going to a good cause. The emblem can be incredibly simplistic. If the creation of the emblem nets a whole $100 in aid then it is worth it even though I'm positive it would net considerably more money. Nobody is telling or asking you to donate and I get the feeling its some of the terrible people out there who are angry they wouldn't get said emblem unless they do something nice for a change. Countless people have already given a great deal and countless more will continue to do so. If it gets an extra $5 or $10 out people then fantastic. I'm 100% on board and don't see a single negative thing about it.

19 RepliesHaving a hard time caring about whats happening to the people of texas. As a californian theyve always seen us as thier enemies and for 8 years they showed nothing but thier true colors and they were not pretty. I think at this point im just sad about the animals and if i had a boat id go only to save animals screw the people less red voters to have to worry about.

I dont care about an emblem about anything that is happening in the real world. No one does.

3 RepliesWhat about an emblem for bad neighborhood relief? Or, African relief? Or parental abuse relief? Or education reform? Or an emblem for overcoming depression? Or being depressed (probably just be a green one...)? See where I'm going with this?
