Please add C+M support
Please add this on PC Bungie. You are a big enough game that I just can't understand why you don't have good C+M (controller + mouse) support when games much smaller than you do.
Warframe, for instance, (among many others) has wonderful C+M support and it makes all the difference in the world for me with my condition. I know others like to play like this as well.
I can see smaller studios not having it but it really shouldn't be hard at all for you guys to implement and it would only give more players more and better options to play this game that you have worked so hard to make for us so that we can enjoy it that much more without it feeling like a struggle or being painful.

1 ReplyI think the reason that they won't do this is because they change how the guns shoot (aim assist, recoil) when a controller is plugged in. You'd have to make aim assist a checkbox, and you couldn't change the recoil of the guns or it leads to poor gun feel. Looks to me like they tried to level the playing field for both mouse/keyboard and controller while maintaining gun feel. Hope this works since we could have cross play from Xbox and PC!! Hoenstly I was hoping to rock C+M like you're saying, but after playing pc with an elite controller in PvP I thought if anything controller had the leg up due to better mobility. I'm happy as is bit curious how they handle this going forward.

1 ReplyYes I would love this. Even if for a different reason. I really love using the Steam Controller and it's already great fun in this game but I have to do full keyboard and mouse bindings to be be able to play and enjoy mouse aim on its touchpad. So when playing I see keyboard prompts and it can sometimes it can be confusing to remember what button on the controller I bound E or F too. In games where simultaneous use of Controller and Mouse like in Titanfall 2 I can bind everything as a regular gamepad while having mouse aim on the touchpad and all the in game prompts correspond correctly to the controller such as the X,A,B,Y buttons. It would be really great if Bungie could work to get this done before the PC release!

4 RepliesOK, reading the below posts, I realise that some people can't use a keyboard, but for the rest of people, like OP, there's absolutely no reason to do this. A keyboard is easily superior to the left side of a controller, or even a whole controller. I think encouraging people to play with a controller would be like the Ritz serving their gourmet meals in baskets with paper. Maybe enable 3rd party support? #PCsupremacy #justkidding #reallythoughPCisbetter

Bump. Had surgery on my left hand years ago and wasd/shift/ctrl causes severe pain. Loving the mouse but had to plug a controller in part way through the evening.

Im all for more control options and more people gaining access to videogames. Hoping Bungie sees this and can patch it in before Oct for you and others that require these control options.

It's always hard dealing with things that impair us. I'm right handed, but when I was growing up, my computer desk was in my room in a terrible spot, so I had no where on my right side to use a mouse. I learnt quickly how to play using my left hand - even going on to get joint 2nd place at a Counter Strike tournament in the UK. Have you thought about trying that? Or does the mouse also hurt your left hand?
