Audio issues (static), Cutscenes are playing at high speed

Unable to post link to a screen record. VLC apparently wont record the screen when Destiny 2 beta is running (black window is only thing seen). Either way though: Bug: Audio is off in which can only be described as a perturbed audio. Like someone took the base, cranked it a bit, through it through some cheap bollywood friday the 13th nock off. Then proceeded to down play all the other instruments to some soft super low tones and thrust it into my ears at volume 11 out of 10. Bug: Cutscenes / video (may be related to audio bug above). The cutscene plays as if someone is fast forwarding it. Quick audio, quick video, it is all very strange.

I too am experiencing this issue. I've updated my audio drivers (Realtek) to no result, and I'm pretty sure I can't use Nvidia HD audio drivers. EDIT: Changing sample rate on speakers to 48000Hz seems to have fixed the issue.

    • Had the same exact issue with my game and found the answer on a sub-reddit. Go to sound > playback devices > click on your speaker/headset > properties > advanced > make sure it's set to "16 Bit, 48000Hz." Fixed both issues for me and no problems since then.

      • Same here with both the static and fast cutscene playing. Like Phears said changing the Sound, Playback Device, Default Format did fix both for me. Had to go lower and set it to 24 bit, 44100 Hz because it was still giving me some noticeable static on certain background music.

      • Hi there, Thank you for your report! You may want to ensure your audio drivers are up to date as a first troubleshooting step.
