PC Beta. Weird Problem I've never encountered before. Everytime I move my mouse far enough to any direction my aiming just... stops. I tried changing fullscreen - windowed modes and it seems that during gameplay my "hardware" mouse still exists and as soon as it hits my monitors' borders the aim in game just stops to a halt. I'm using a laptop so it's not a monitor issue or anything. This is really a strange problem that I've never encountered before. Does anyone else experience anything similar?

As mentioned before the fix for this is to go to destiny.exe and go to properties and compatibility. Tick overide dpi and choose application in the drop down box. Apply that and restart. I didn't have the issue as I use desktop however when I went in to my exe it was already selected that way so I never had to set it to fix the issue

9 RepliesSolution suggested by friend (not tested it myself yet as I am in math class right now) go into windows settings and ensure that the Scaling setting is set to 100%. By default it is at 125%. This can mess up some stuff that was not set to adjust to those settings from what I am told. Hope it works! please comment and let me know either way. Thanks.

5 RepliesEdited by Razgard: 8/28/2017 11:04:28 PMUGLY SOLUTION To solve it you go to the game's .exe file, select properties, go to the Compatibility tab and enable 'Disable display scaling on high DPI settings'. Then go open it again from the bliz app only. (cant open the .exe without the bliz app) My FIle was in Program files(x86) IN DESTINY 2 folder. Happy gaming. P.S Not sure what this does to game performance if someone else can chime in. It runs like slow motion if I do this.

Edited by Chinachoo: 8/29/2017 10:26:16 PMI'm having the same issue also on laptop. I hope this gets fixed soon, as it renders the game nigh unplayable for now. I was getting inputs from my mouse dropped as well (couldn't stay in ADS and couldn't always fire), but switching from fullscreen seems to have fixed that and given my fps a big boost. Also the scaling fix some have been suggesting does not work for me.

1 Replyi was having the same issue until i connected my computer to a monitor and set it as my main display then launched the game. i also started getting a playable 60 fps once i did that. Acer Predator Helios 300 Core I7 7700hq 2.80 ghz Nvidia Geforce GTX 1060M 6GB 16 GB DDR4

1 ReplyJust change your scaling from 125 % to 100% in windows settings.

I have a semi solution. It may have caused another problem, but it fixed the one described for me. Go to control panel, muse settings, pointer options, uncheck enhance pointer precision. Fixed the mouse catching on the edge of the screen, but I still seem to hit an invisible wall of jello when looking to the right. It's not the same issue because turning to the left works fine, except when I've turned a bit to far into the "jello wall," moving left is slow as well. Hope the fix works, and that it doesn't give you another problem. Been playing on a controller, which is pretty much like having the worst gun in PvP against a bunch of God rolls, as the recoil has been changed so drastically.

1 ReplyI am starting to think that Bungie somehow never considered the laptop part of the community. Currently a lot of stuttering problems and random bugs that like this one is all over the laptop side of the community while the desktop part is praising Bungie for the best game ever

Same problem here also on a laptop

I'm having the same issue as well. Hopefully some more comments on here will get someone's attention. It's a hard problem to put into words.

Same problem here. Sadly pretty unplayable, lets hope Bungie fixes the problem soon...

2 RepliesYep I have been having the same problem, when I get back home I am going to try and use my roomates ps4 controller

Yeah I have the same problem on my laptop makes it hard to do the strike and everything else pretty much. Both my friends have desktop and don't have the problem. Please fix.

Bumping this for anyone having this problem, look at spyro392's solution and Razgard's solution, worked for the majority of us, happy hunting Guardians!

+1 Started a second character to run through the intro mission with mouse & keyboard (used controller for the first one) and ran into this issue. A few of the proposed fixes are related to Windows DPI scaling, so I should note that I'm using a 4k TV as a monitor, with Windows set to 200% scaling.

I'm so happy I'm not the only one with this issue. Thanks for posting. I hope this gets fixed. I got this for my gf, and myself so we could use mouse and keyboard.

I have experienced the same issue on my Lenovo Legion Y720, the mouse works fine in the game menu, and elsewhere just not while I am in combat trying to shoot things...in a FPS and the mouse has worked while playing other Blizzard games like HotS which are mouse dependant. Tempted to use my Dualshock controller but really do not want to.

Same problem for me as well.

mee too

Same thing. Both mouse buttons and my turning have issues like this. I'm using a laptop, and I've tried two mice (neither worked). Never seen anything like this before, so it's definitely a Destiny problem.
