"Servers are unavailable, dismiss to try agian." Error

I think this is a slightly different issue then what people are experiencing with Saxophone. My friend "servers are not available , dismiss to try again." He's tried to reinstall and restart etc. etc. blizzap/computer/internet. he has a comcast connection it's a fast connection. is this just a stress issue - and he has to keep trying. Myself and my other buddy managed to get in - but he's having trouble and nobody seems to be posting about this. Just the saxpohone issue. Any thoughts?

  • This problem comes from the EULA agreement trying to connect through Ethernet by default, and not bothering to check for a wireless adapter. Solution: ~Open the Network and Sharing center (Right click wireless icon in taskbar) ~Click "Change Adapter Settings" in the top left ~Right click the adapter called "Ethernet" and disable it This should allow you to open the game and accept the EULA agreement. Once you have accepted the agreement, you can enable your Ethernet adapter again.

    • If anyone is still having this problem even when on a wired connection i have found a possible fix (worked for me after 10 hours of not being able to get on) run command promt as administrator type "netsh in ip reset" restart computer then run command promt as administrator again then type "netsh winsock reset" restart computer again and launch game and the issue should be resolved

Bump, tried everything above and still will not start - still get this error.. DHCP is enabled LAN Line disabled Attempted to diagnose both adapters, no issues found. Attempted netsh winsock reset & netsh in ip reset no change ******FIX******* Checked for updates, Verified data and file integrity - downloaded about 500MB then was able to get past the "Server unavailable" error.

    • For me it ended up being a DHCP, which I had set off since I use assigned IP addresses on my network. But, switched it on and then was able to proceed.

      • Makes no sense but if you have a motherboard with multiple Ethernet connections, try another one, as I tried my secondary one and it worked perfectly. Perhaps there is an issue with any type of multiple network adapters with the client.

              • I was receiving this error as well this morning, using an ASUS USB wifi adapter connecting to a stock Xfinity wifi router. As soon as I switched to a physical ethernet DHCP connection after restarting my PC, I was able to launch the Game Executable from the Blizzard Battle.net client PLAY button, and was able to progress past the Signing In... message to the In-Game EULA. Once I clicked Accept, I loaded into the Character Select screen, and progressed to gameplay as usual. After exiting the Game Executable, and playing around with WiFi/Ethernet connection settings, I found that after I'd progressed past the EULA check, I could launch the Game Executable and proceed to gameplay on both WiFi and physical connections. My guess (And it's not 10 out of 10 or anything) is that either the initial connection on first EULA might be more restrictive, or require the user to play around with their connection before progressing to the EULA check. ...or alternately I was just inventing work for myself to do while the problem resolved itself absent my efforts. Give it a shot, see what happens, better than clicking ESC all day. idk I'm not a video game scientist or anything... <_<
