Banned from beta?
So i somehow got banned 5 minutes after i launched the game and i have no idea why?
Well now after a while im not banned anymore so idk what happened

There is a list of programs that don't work or are not approved to be used with the Destiny 2 client. If you've ever played Diablo on B.net then you already know what Blizzard don't allow and why. The blizzard client is constantly detecting the programs running around it but, only acts if those programs attempt to inject code into the client for one of it's games. This includes every overlay program that tries to detect what game is running. Any third party cheat programs that try to modify data coming from and going to the client and a few other widely used cheating methods. Now anyone who has played on consoles will know that Bungie don't seem to give much of a damn about this kind of cheating on those platforms but, this time around you are unfortunately NOT facing Bungie. This time you are facing Blizzard and they don't take any such s^&t. They will simply ban your sorry a$$ with no warning and no slap on the wrist. They are also constantly updating their anti-cheat measures due to heartstone, diablo, overwatch etc. etc. This is applied pretty much atuomatically to anything running on their network. So while I'm pretty sure some of you are getting banned because you simply didn't read the FAQ and have left some programs like Discord running without re-configuring them to not use the banned overlay settings. I'm also pretty sure that a few of you out there were testing your lag switching and cheating techniques happily thinking it was console land at 60fps. Fortunately for you you'll be able to play the final release but, consider this your wake up call. You're up against a company that actually gives a damn about banning cheaters, toxic players and grief-ers in the PC space. They will happily ban a 2 million views youtuber without missing a heartbeat if they end up being toxic in their play i.e. constant cursing, racist remarks etc. etc. The PC space is a lot less forgiving than the console space when it comes to cheaters. There are a lot of them still but, increasingly their a$$e$ are getting perma banned and no-one is shedding any tears.

So now what?? The people that were left still banned (myself included) now have no way of telling if they are still banned with the beta now over. Therefore, I cannot buy the game without knowing if I can even play it. Of course this is all based on if they don't have some form of customer support put in place or at least an acknowledgment of this issue and their solution.

Was banned too, pretty saddened about it too considering I purchased the Digital Deluxe and was not aware stuff like Action/Discord could get you banned.

Banned here also, checked all my programs, the only thing that could even have an overlay is steam, and it wouldn't be an overlay for this game. No discord, no overlay on Afterburner, no capture programs. NVIDIA shadow capture software not running. I don't have as much to complain about, since I hadn't even bought the game yet. I wanted to try out this new thing all my friends were getting hyped about, was going to finally get to play with my cousin from down south and got banned before I could finish the tutorial. Posting here hoping that they'll at least do a single reset before major release. Wanted to give this game a chance and now I can't even try it out during beta. A disappointment to be sure.

I was also banned. Had absolutely nothing running in the background that they list, I was even using the blizzard chat channels. I really hope they fix this.. I love the game and don't want to refund it.

I just purchased destiny 2 beta two days ago and got banned while playing PVP Here is my YouTube link www.youtube.com/minimi007 with 10+ subs been up all night streaming and trying to advance my game play then I get a message I was banned. This is insane. After doing some online research and YouTube there is tons of forums and YouTube videos people getting banned for using obs fraps and action to live stream or simply record the game play, customer service is poor and has no contact information except a help forum page. this has got to be my worst gaming experience so far. It's a shame because I did enjoy the game. This is steeling money hasn't been 48 hours since I got the game. 3 RepliesEdited by Rett: 8/30/2017 11:35:08 PMBanned 30 minutes in. I finished the beginning mission and closed the game and when I returned a little later I was banned. Discord was not running. The only thing that was running was Chrome, antivirus, Skype and f.lux. So essentially no overlays. Needless to say, if this isn't fixed there's no way I'm buying this if I have to walk on eggshells every time I boot up the game. UPDATE: I talked to someone else who is playing the beta and he was not banned even though he told me he was running almost exactly the same things. The only difference is he was running Discord (without overlay). So I'm still just as clueless as to what I was running that got me this ban.

Bungie, really needs to improve the Anticheat in this game, im a new Streamer and Youtuber, and I was so hyped up to Make streams and videos of Destiny 2... now im dissapointed, not gonna buy this game till they fixed it
