I specifically want to know if we're being given the OPTION whether to transfer our existing characters or if D2 is going to automatically port via PSN, etc account info? If we don't have an option, I have a lot of work to do in making my other 2 characters and getting them to the right points of gameplay to be able to transfer. As I don't really want to have to rush through this process, I was just going to make 3 totally new characters for D2, but I'm highly worried this may not be allowed, and all the articles I'm finding are only covering transfers for people who actually want to transfer old characters and what Bungie is providing as compensation for the loss of ALL that lovely gear. ;) I only finally bought my own copy in July (after playing for 2 years on a friend's ps3 account), so I only have my Titan leveled up/past Black Garden, still haven't gotten through Taken King stuff or played through Rise of Iron at all (I have to work too unfortunately), and have to still build and play through my Hunter and Warlock. Additionally, I feel like it's silly to play two sets of the exact same characters on what is ultimately a whole new game.... I'd really rather have a total of 6 individual characters to play with in two separate settings since I've only just started D1 anyway. :/ Can we just start three new characters on Destiny 2 without loosing our existing characters from Destiny 1??? I don't want to loose my existing set, but I don't want to have to panic level 2 whole characters either. <_> Thanks in advance.
