The amount of bugs and glitches was horrible, but in the games current state I actually enjoy playing it

21 RepliesI don't get why people say it was so bugged on release. In full honesty, I never had a single glitch, bug, or anything like this when I first played it. The only problems I had were from the PlayStation Network hack.
-
I played the multiplayer missions and heists so much. I had a blast with it
-
I like the co-op.
-
Not sure haven't played it since I beat it
-
1 ReplyI liked it even before patch. Never had a single issue that others encountered.
-
Its the only Assassins Creed game I actually finished. It wasnt great, but it was fun.
-
Mine is still unopened, I got it at release, heard it was really buggy so never played it.

2 RepliesNope, still hate this game, hate the whole french revolution (what an idiotic time period), the story is just ok, and i absolutely hate the feel of the combat (which has never been fixed). The stealth is ok but lord forbid you ever end up in open combat, it feels so clunky. Rifles also continue to make no sense in the game, for one thing why cant i crouch on a ledge and fire, and another, why is the rifle out of range from on top of most buildings, why bother even using a rifle if its range isnt much better than a pistol.

Edited by Bake8935: 8/22/2017 11:42:35 PMI came to it 3-4 months after it launched. I thought it was great. I enjoyed the French Revolution setting a lot more than some of the other recent games. It's still in the bottom half of the AC games though. Here's my ranking, just because: 1. Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood 2. Assassin's Creed 3. Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag 4. Assassin's Creed II 5. Assassin's Creed: Syndicate 6. Assassin's Creed: Rogue 7. Assassin's Creed: Unity 8. Assassin's Creed III 9. Assassin's Creed: Revelations Never played Liberation or the Chronicles trilogy. I'll get to them eventually.

Yes but only recently after forcing myself a few times to play but I'm glad I did it's actually a good game.
-
The story just doesn't do it for me. Only AC that has happened in for me.
-
Wasn't a bad game (never played prepatch), but not necessarily a good game either. Although some of the coop stuff was really fun provided you could find a team
-
I tried it about 6 months ago. Still hated it.
-
I like every AC game to an extent. But Unity is admittedly my least favorite
-
It was just another AC game to me, like they all are. I loved that it had coop, it's something I had always wanted from the series. Unfortunately I have nobody to play it with.
-
Best trailer, worst AC game apart from 3 even without the bugs
-
I liked it when it was released...I never experienced any game breaking bugs and the combat was definitely the best of the series
-
Ironically it's a top 3 AC title for me lol. Patched up nicely now, has been for years. Setting is beautiful and absolutely large, fast travel is a thing as well. Lots of different weapons and my only current issue is having to wait for double hidden blades.

I never played it until after it was patched, I just couldn't bring myself to finish. The character were all boring at best and terrible at worst. The story was absolutely nothing like I thought it would be. Arno is by far my least favorite assassin with the worst reasons to become one. The combat was ruined in order to bring in the new pointless perk system. The freerunning was made more complex without reasoning (black flag nailed it imo). And they got rid of the pvp, which I personally really enjoyed, in order to put in a watered down co-op experience that didn't even impact the story. Bugs and glitches have never ruined a game for me and in many cases have improved games. But there was just too much else in the game I couldn't really enjoy. Maybe one day I'll go back and try to beat it, but I don't have the motiviation.

Edited by RingersCheckmate: 8/22/2017 7:44:27 AMMy Wifi went down over the weekend and unity was a game I had on disc. Unfortunately I can't update it without wifi so I'm stuck with the godawful bugs and glitches. I do have a couple problems with the game outside of those bugs and such. The story, wraps it around this vengeance idea way too much. This love story between Arno and Elise isn't interesting, we know how these love stories end because they don't change throughout AC game (I won't spoil it but most of you AC players know what I'm talking about). Besides the Story, Unity is an assassin's creed game and that stealth and strategy plays really well. You still have a large variety of ways to break into areas and kill your target and it's entirely up to you how you do it. It also has some of my favorite assassination animations of any AC game that just feels satisfying with the sound design. The lockpicking QTE is annoying, tedious, and misplaced (Ubisoft is really struggling to find a lockpicking mechanic that works). Also, idk if this has been patched in but the cover system is excessively annoying to play with and can sometimes jeopardize the core stealth gameplay that I enjoy.

Never played it again after all the glitches and frame rate drops during the lizard squad shit.
-
Never got to play it post patch

My problems with Unity had nothing to do with its various bugs. To me, Unity was a game that was built under the mentality that bigger equals better. Paris was larger than any other single location that we'd had before in a AC game. The scale of builds was a lot closer to how they'd be in real life. And the streets of Paris were crowded with NPC's. The basic act of getting from point A to B became a huge chore for me and I stopped having fun playing it very early on. Throw in some dodgy accents and the usual silly AC plot line and I just lost interest. Ubisoft were so busy building a tech demo that they forgot to make a fun game.

2 RepliesI only played it after itd been out for a while so I didn't encounter any glitches or bugs for the most part. It was a good addition to the game franchise to me
