Edit - I'd really love to know, if you guys would be willing to pay for tweaked versions of hammer, storm, & stalker ?
Anyone know for sure ?
The reason I am asking, is because, I want to know if destiny is NOT dropping with storm, hammer, & stalker.
The reason I want to know, is because I'm curious to see if Bungie is going to re-release these subclass as dlc or something time gated, with whatever little modifications they may add/remove.
If that's the case, what if Bungie repeated what they did in destiny 1 ? hold off on the class content till what was it? late year 2 - year 3 !?!?!?!?!
Could you imagine if destiny 2 is the same 9 subclasses, of which 3 are content that we are already familiar with, that's time gates ?!!?!?!?!?!?!? & what if we have to pay for it?!?!?!?!?!? Omgosh ! LOL !
LOL !!!
Look, I know people think I'm upset, or trolling, or trying to hurt or insult someone, but I'm really not, just hear me out... lol, get ready.. - WARFRAME, the free game, has like 20 different frames, all have their own unique abilities, excluding the operator..
I bring up other games, because all games copy each other today, & can learn something from each other.

8 RepliesDoubtful we have 3 subclasses. If they had a 3rd they'd be marketing the shit out of it by now.. just weeks before launch. No, we all know where this is going. 3rd subclass to be released at Y2 EXPANSION to kick off Y2. Hopefully this format will cease with D2, and the 10 year plan will run like it was originally planned. Game drop, DLC, DLC, Expansion, DLC, DLC, SEQUEL. Maybe in D3 we'll see 3 classes and 3 subclass drops.. and then on expansion we see a whole new CLASS! Wow, I just read what I typed above and realized how pathetic that really sounds. Dunno if I'm gonna be around to see this all take place at this rate.
-
12 RepliesOh you know you're gonna have to pay for the third subclass lol
-
1 ReplyI could see us having the same subclasses we have at the end of D1, but when Ghual takes our light, we lose them and when we find the shard we get either the new subclass or the reworked one and then we have to unlock the second and maybe third through missions... I know the beta already showed us using the new subclasses in the first mission but they wanted to showcase them without spoiling how we obtain the powers
-
4 RepliesWe will start with 2 for each character and the 3rd will unlock with a quest later on in the vanilla campaign. Quote me
-
At least 2. We aren't sure about 3 but all the small readers point strongly to there being 3.
-
5 RepliesFrom what I have heard, we start with the two subclasses.. at least that is from what we saw in the beta.. But who knows, we might have all of them at the beginning.. But then of course we lose them and for a couple missions we have nothing and have to go to the shard to unlock our light again.. we might get all three from there.. Im fine with the idea of having two subclasses per class to start, thats how it was in D1. The whole "oh we will have to buy them" is a silly.. Yeah, if they come in a DLC, then you are buying the DLC, not just the new subclass.

2 RepliesU sound exactly like my friend when he's high. Omg could you imagine...omg, OMG

1 ReplyWow you're freaking out about shit that hasn't even been covered yet and it's still 3 weeks to go. Good luck with your hair loss.

1 ReplyRight on! Warframe is the god of class creating. They do everything right. They have such a huge diversity. They have tanks, assaults, fortication, crowd controls, healing support, buff supports, stealth. The best part is you can obtain pets, or mods that can fix a weakness, or amplify a strength. For example, I run frost prime, a shield tank. I can fortify with bubble shields(aka the snow globe) to support my team. I have mods to strengthen shield recovery and armor at all costs. Then I have one mod to nullify its poor speed. Finally I have a Hursa kubrow to enable stealth. A true jack of all trades, there is nothing I can't do. I LOVE WARFRAME! Oh oh oh and when the devs notice a frame lacking shine, they adjust it and BUFF them. They are constantly creating more frames too, after all this time. Like YES!!!

Edited by Stealth101010: 8/19/2017 4:23:57 AMNot sure form the beta play throughs I saw looks like you just get the first 2 subclasses from the first game. For example the few titans that opened their menus in the beta I only saw 2 subclass icons. And all the beta videos on youtube I only see people using either the arc sub class or void subclass, I did not see any solar Titan subclass play through. Probably just a beta thing, when the full game ships we shall see.

9 Subclass and hoping for 12 total when the comet comes.

2 RepliesEdited by gallp13: 8/17/2017 10:57:54 PM2 definite, but teasing 3 (no timeline on other 1)
-
4 RepliesOfficially 6, but there was some "wink wink nudge nudge"ing going on on Twitter. You keep comparing Destiny to Warframe, though. If you like Warframe better (somehow, the gameplay is objectively not good), stop worrying about Destiny.

If that's the case, what if Bungie repeated what they did in destiny 1 ? hold off on the class content till what was it? late year 2 - year 3 !?!?!?!?!
They came with TTK, not late Y2 or Y3. Don't be like that.
-
1 ReplyJust look at d1 and it's plan. You will pay for the third sub. Pay for year 3 content in year 5. Etc
-
2 RepliesIm going to guess only 6 subclasses on release- and no real method to customize/tune them to your style of play. Warframe has 34 frames that come in different flavors: tank, crowd control, support, and dps. Each frame does their job in unique ways and are 100% customizable to play how you want them to play based on how you mod. Its funny because while Warframe just keeps adding/updating stuff, bungie just keeps trying this method of addition by subtraction. And for some reason people keep buying it. As if 4-2 really does = 6. As if removing one element of the game will lead to greater diversity.

1 Reply6 just like vanilla D
-
4 RepliesIt will most likely start out like D1 did with 6 and you'll get the other 3 later. I hope they aren't that dumb but knowing Bungie I won't be surprise if they swap Supers between characters. They did it already by giving Titans blink and Warlocks the hammer.
-
3 RepliesJ, you know as well as I that each character will have 2 subclasses each at launch and they will sell the 3rd one back to us after the first 2 "expansions". They saw that people paid for it in Destiny, so I'm sure they'll do the same thing with Destiny 2. Oh, and I just started playing Warframe because I always see you on it. Holy Shit at the amount of content!! And it's FREE!!!!!! The game is FREE!!!! So much content, so many locations, so many weapons and armor..........and again, it's FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Most likely 9, possibly 6 or 12.
-
1 ReplyPerhaps they didn't have time to do the necessary work to give us 3 subclasses. Goodness knows why not. It's not as though Bungies over 500 employees spent that time enabling people to alter the appearance of characters they want to import from D1 Yet ONE individual, not having previously made a game, enabled a great deal of character customisation in Star dew Valley. I know one game is much more simplistic than the other but it was ONE guy. Whatever the reason that 3 rd subclass will be sold to people in the next expansion 😄

-
5 RepliesI doubt we will have 3 classes. They will design new ones and sell them with DLC like TTK.
-
4 RepliesTwo , all the people that are saying things like the hunter void class is coming back are just trying to cover up bungie mistakes.
-
6 RepliesAt this point, you could be right. I was afraid they'd start using timers more, and here we are. It's getting easier and easier to see where this is going...
