Will Destiny 2 PC version have add-ons (mods) like in World of Warcraft (or Skyrim)? Would you like it or not?

As it is an MMO game (if not entirely, but certainly an RPG) these little extras could help the community in a certain way. The question is given what do you think guys?

  • I'm wanting addons like what I saw on youtube. Shader 2.0. Changes the shader menu completely. Character on the left, 2 panels on the right. First panel is armor/weapon/ghost/ship/swallow slots. Second Panel is shader options. Allows you to see what the shaders will look like on each item without having to have re-made the shader yet. As long as you own it in your collections, its there. So you can see multiple shaders at work at once, instead of one at a time. I'm probably butchering the description. Here's a link to the video on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sgb-KZyBSZk&t=775s Addons/Mods like this, I would be okay with, cause it's entirely cosmetic. Not game changing, not game breaking. Not game altering. Just a "Better Way of Life" mod.

  • I bet this won't stop people from porting models to GMod.

  • Almost definitely not. The chances are that Bungie will do everything possible to stop any code mods as these could result in cheats. Bungie won't even allow third party game capture software to implant code into D2 on PC

  • No. They have enacted very strict measures to lock out cheats. Even things like Discord will not be allowed to have an overlay.

    • As I understand these won't be cheats in any mean. if you know about World of Warcraft , add-ons exist even back from 2005 and the game just is fine, millions of ppl play with it everyday.

      • Sounds good to me,but could be complicated to create these add-ons, as we don't know yet what dev-kit or program language the game works with.
