It takes real timing and panache to deliver a properly executed bag.

It takes real timing and panache to deliver a properly executed bag.[/quote] Meh. "The Sophisticated Bag" lost its touch a long time ago. It used to be a gesture meant to indicate dominance over another player by properly putting them in their place, usually after pregame trash talk by the victim player. These days, it's simply a mind game tactic. There's no such thing as a proper bag anymore.

If I know I got outplayed, I accept the tea bag/clam slam with humility. Nothing in a video game ever gets mind-gamey to me.

That's just the only motivation behind it anymore. I laugh it off regardless of what caused it, and generally try to score a friendly retaliation dip before the match ends. But the days of there being any meaning to the bag are a distant memory.
