Is kingdom hearts good?
So I picked the kingdom hearts 1.5+2.5 collection and I just finished the first one and had some fun but a lot of my fun is being offset by the game kinda being terrible. There were so many problems I had with it from the camera to the entirety of Atlántica. Does the series get better or am I just wasting my time?
Update: I did try chain of memories and everyone saying skip it is very right. Terrible combat system is no fun.

9 RepliesNo. It's subpar combat mixed with generic, cringy dialogue and bad characters and story. Usually only super edgy nerds like the games, but to each his own. I find them terrible games.

It definitely gets better... but as most will tell you, they play it for the complex story.

Just watch a plot summery of Chain of Memories. The gameplay sucks on the consoles, the GBA version was better lol. KH2 gameplay is much better than the first one.

4 RepliesYeah kingdom hearts 1 is pretty iffy. I still love it. Kingdom hearts 2 has much smoother combat and movement though, I'm sure you'll enjoy it a lot more. There isn't as much exploration in it. Be prepared to be very confused with it's story, it's insane

Do yourself a favor and skip Chain of Memories or play the GBA version. The card system doesn't translate well into consoles. That being said, KH2 is the better game by miles as compared to KH1, very much night and day.

The second game has way cooler combat.

It gets much better. Once you get to two there's vast improvements to the controls, especially the camera. Also yeah, i remember alantiica being a bitch with how annoying controls were.

I loved them when they came out. The story get's a bit confusing the further you go, but I find it great! I'd say continue with the series. Gameplay was better in KH2. KH3 seems to have fixed a lot of the gameplay issues.
