This is an important topic. Maybe ppl have different opinions concerning this and I want to hear yours. Some say Spartan abilities is too sweaty or just too "non-halo". What do you think? Should Halo 6 dump the abilities and go with a more Halo 3 multiplayer or continue on the path they have created?
Personally, I think it doesn't matter. Halo 5 is still fun at times and I feel as if it's core problems come with it being ugly. Sound? Is crap(doesn't sound like Halo) graphics? Beta was a million times better and everything looks like plastic. UI? Barely useable. You can even see how the early builds of the game were ten times better than the final build in all the areas mentioned. Req system is crap too.

I feel like everything should stay, because the spartan ability's really don't effect that much it just makes the game play faster than all halo's. the spartan ability's isn't a problem because reverse all spartan ability's. I like how the game plays because i'm a fast pace player.

4 RepliesKeep thruster. Great addition. Keep clamber as it helps add to maneuverability and takes nothing away from the gameplay. Remove Sprint. Unneeded addition that makes maps bigger for no reason. Instead just increase the base movement speed by 10-20%. Gameplay will never have to stop as it does when people sprint, Ground pound and air hover can stay or go. They are both decent but wouldn't be missed much if removed. Shoulder charge should be removed. Period.

4 RepliesEdited by fangfireskull: 8/15/2017 5:03:58 AMI like the abilities, problem is, a lot of people seem to hate change. From what I've read in this thread alone is the people basically want halo 3: remastered. Microsoft can't please everyone. It's either too different or not different enough, halo seems to be going the same way as cod is/was. (I say was because of the up coming WW2) My vote is the abilities should stay, but no more added. Maybe bring back halo 3/reach armor abilities but that's it.

1 ReplyJust remove Sprint and Spartan Charge and I'll be more than happy.

2 Repliessimple 0 abilities BR starts and classic art style if they don't do that well let's just say there's a good reason why h5 is the worst selling halo of all time

Personally I think Halo does need some form of gameplay change, however I don't think Halo 5 was the good way to go. There are only two things that I like about Halo's gameplay and that's using the thrusters and clamber. Now before you go, bomb my house, and then kill my 15 cats, I just mean the standard thruster movement, no operation ground pound your family and kids to death, no Spartan Charge into your family's bedroom, nothing like that. That's OP or just makes you easier to kill. Standard thruster movement? That actually feels good for Halo's gameplay. You are still moving fast, you have your weapon raised and ready to shoot if you see someone and it also provides better evasive maneuverability from enemies with the press of a button. TLDR? Halo 6 should play just like Halo 2/3 but have standard regular thruster movement.

3 RepliesAt least keep sprint.

Edited by Max Hass: 8/12/2017 11:17:12 PMI like them as its a rather deep system. If you run you can't recharge shields. Yet it can offer an escape. If you run while your shield charges it resets the charge timer. Risk and reward. If you ground pound or charge and miss then you leavr yourself heavily open for death. Yet you can get the drop on an enemy and get a kill because of them. Risk and reward. Mantles gotta stay. The little boost charge is helpful for escaping or reaching spots. Yet that recharge can be the difference between life or death. Risk and reward I think I've made it obvious that this is all risk and reward based. That's classic Halo to me. All the new abilities can have a positive or negative effect depending on timing. That just makes the game that much more deep. Which i love. I've recently gotten into Halo 5 a lot this week (as in I've barely touched anything else. Hell i finally finished the campaign despite owning this game since day one). I know at launch i didn't care much for these abilities, but i really enjoy how it makes the game deeper. I would like some classic Halo playlist as well though.

Edited by Horacio Crux: 8/14/2017 10:54:44 PMKeep clamber and evade, ground pound, spartan charge and stabilizers can go. Also, we need every gun and vehicle from every game.

Yeah I like not being stuck in the past pre-2007

Spartan abilities make halo 5 fun. The only game now that I can keep playing for over a month before getting bored.

Edited by Psychic Donuts: 8/13/2017 5:35:17 PMClamber, thruster, and hover are all awesome additions and don't require sprint. I don't want to see them go no matter what happens. For the rest I have faith in 343. They did a great job balancing the abilities in 5. If they roll back on some of the things in 5 for a classic feel they will do great. If they keep going on what they've made in 5 and expand on them and balance them further they will do great. They have the feedback from us, the pros, and their own testing. I'm excited for whatever they come up with. Some of your points are wrong though. The "plastic" armor isn't graphics is the model design. Halo 5 has amazing graphics (not to be confused with model or world design). The sound, despite anyone's opinion, is well designed. You can hear where stuff is going on just by listening to it. I'm not really sure what your issue with the UI was.

I'd be fine with keeping the hover ability (or removing all) in most modes (PvE, matchmaking) and having the rest as options in customs.
-
Armor abilities are ok and all, but I don't care for the ground pound or charge. Drop shield and the like are ok.

4 RepliesI'd say yes because well I just don't seem them taking it out in halo 6. See unlike cod they actually did a pretty solid job on the movement system in halo 5 and I enjoy it I mean don't get me wrong ground pound and boosting across the map by spamming lb and b aren't all to fun but with the designs and sizes of maps it was kind of needed. Think about how boring war zone would be without Spartan abilities. Plus I just love the look on my enemy's face when I Spartan charge him into a wall instantly knocking him out. I'd say 343 bring your best abilities to halo 6 don't over do them just keep them solid

Get rid of everything but maybe keep the jet pack boost and just increase movement speed a bit would be ideal imo

I understand ground pound but I don't find many who use it except to get an edge in Grifball. As for Spartan Charge I just find it too gimmicky. Everything else I'm fine with.

6 RepliesSprinting and the Thruster pack is fine. Everything else feels like bloat.

6 RepliesHow about no Halo 6?

1 ReplyI'm okay with Thruster Pack, Hover and Ground Pound. I just don't like Shoulder Charge.
