I was curious about the skill level of the Guardians I'd been facing over the past few days of IB. So I went to Destiny Tracker to pull up my game list and see who I've been going up against. Most of the games I looked at were similar, the Elo's fell into a range of ~+/- 200.
However, when I pulled up some of the Guardians that scored the highest or had the best K/D's in some of those matches on Guardian.GG their Elo's were very different. The ranges were far greater.
Since there was such a large difference in Elo's between the 2 sites, the obvious question is why?
It occurred to me that if Destiny uses the same method as Destiny Tracker that means the Elo averaging method used for SBMM may be way off.
Does anyone have any insight on these systems?
