I think the conclusion here is pretty clear. Seriously, if we ever ally with the Cabal, I will be dancing in the street. If, for some unfathomable reason, you pick the Eliksni, please explain your choice.
Edit 1: Well, I guess most people prefer Eliksni, for a variety of reasons, but primarily because of the shared interests. I would like to point out, however, that Eliksni, instead of sending envoys and asking to share the Traveller, massacred millions, if not billions of innocent men, women and children in an attempt to take it by force.

In an actual war, the Cabal would crush the Fallen. I pick Cabal.
-
I would side with the fallen. If we look at the siege engine, we can tell that the Fallen are masters at scavenging. We could find some scrap for the fallen and then the fallen could build a massive war machine. The swigs engine was probably built with SIVA-enhanced tech, but still.

The cabal blew up my vault even my lettuce they will die for it all of them will die
-
The fallen, maybe they can redeem themselves to the traveler. Besides the cabal are going to blow up all my stuff in my vault, and that is unforgivable.
-
In ttk i sniped some cabal so i went to collect my engrams then i saw a head that belonged to a cabal soldier which made me about to throw up

Edited by bobswerski: 8/15/2017 6:29:59 PMDon't be so quick to bow down to the Cabal. They would just turn us into some slave race like the Psions.
-
Edited by Hakumen: 8/15/2017 7:43:00 PMFallen without doubt. Like their tech much more than the Cabal's.
-
Well the cabal can just throw the moon at the earth then the moon would explode and kill the fallen :]
-
In the words of Metallica.... Kill them all...
-
If we were to ally with the cabal then we'd have an alliance with one of the greatest military force in the universe
-
The Fallen. They aren't inherently evil. They seem to carry themselves with honor and distinction, and seem like the most likely to seek an alliance with us to defeat a greater threat.
-
12 RepliesThe Fallen have shown that they can work together with other races already. The Cabal, not so much.
-
Fallen!!!
-
2 RepliesMany people have said this already, but the Fallen can actually work together with others and the possibility ood them destroying the Traveler if they don't get their way is almost none when compared to the Cabal. I'd imagine that if they had to work together with us, they'd rig up something more subtle to try to control our Light through the Traveler, or even more likely rig up a giant bomb on the floating ball and enslave us that way. The Cabal destroy worlds just because they are in the way. They don't even have to be a threat! The Fallen have attacked is and killed many of it's yes, but atleast they had a reason to do so. It's pretty much what we're about to do, so between the Cabal and the Fallen I'd rather the space pirates than the perpetually pissed off turtles. By the way, Ghaul hurts your Ghost then kicks you in the face... there better be an amazing reason as to why I didn't kill him countless times and teamed up with him instead.
-
3 RepliesI think a fallen alliance would be pretty worthless since we killed all of their leadership and their machine god
-
Because the fallen are awesome. That's why.
-
For me, it's the fallen. The Fallen don't necessarily want to kill us, they just want the traveler. So, a deal could be struck. If the Fallen helped us take back the city, we could share the traveler. But Cabal? Hellllllllll no. It doesn't fit into their lore. They're conquerors. Not tiny pansy ass diplomats. After all, they attacked and almost killed off everyone in the last city. For all we know, the people in the farm are the last human beings like ever. So, yes to Fallen, -blam!- no to the Cabal.
-
1 ReplyCabal for sure, they're copies of Spartans (the real ones).
-
4 RepliesThe Cabal are dicks. Sure, the Eliksni did some not-so-nice things, but at least they didn't kill the Purple Ball. That was where I drew the line.
-
2 RepliesWe should have allied with the Fallen in the first place. Not that they ever gave us much of a chance, mind you, but still. All they want is to have the Traveller back. So let them join us, welcome them to the City, and try to start fresh and work with each other. The violence could have been so easily avoided.
-
6 RepliesThis is a stupid question. The cabal would NEVER ally with us. They are war machines destroying everything in their path. So even suggesting that we would ally with them is dumb. The fallen, on the other hand, have already been shown to "ally" with us: The dude at the reef, and the fallen captain that was fighting alongside cayde (in the grimoire). They have shared interests with us, and I'm honestly surprised the whole house of exile hasn't joined us. They've already been exiled by the others, so why the hell not. While the fallen may be weaker, it only takes 6 guardians to cut down hundreds of cabal and kill their war general (upcoming raid). How much more power do we need?
-
Honestly, fallen. They dont seem llike a bad race, just badly broken, and angry that the power that was gifted to them was taken away.
-
Cabal don't make friends.
-
I'd rather we killed them all.

19 RepliesEdited by Archival Mind: 8/7/2017 10:19:48 PMA little... torn here. The Fallen are similar, but they aren't reasonable. They are dead -blam!-ing dedicated to their cause, which is our annihilation. The Cabal are smarter... but also war-hungry. They conquer, they don't make allies unless they are extremely useful or decide to join their cause. Guardians are some of the most powerful beings in the Destiny universe. I think the other races know this. The Cabal disabled the Traveler so we wouldn't be a threat and so they can try and get the light. The Fallen always aim for our Ghosts whenever possible so we don't get back up. The Hive and Taken are pretty much our opposites, and the Vex have started something... interesting. Two races are up for an alliance, the Fallen and Vex. There is one possibility to get the Cabal, or at least a large portion of them, to ally with us as well. That scenario for the Cabal is by getting Calus back in power. Surely not everybody in the Empire wanted Calus out, so putting him back in would not only prove our strength to all Legions, but to Calus who might just give us a chance and/or leave us alone. As for the Fallen, there are two reasons for an alliance. The first being that Uldren is now in control of at least the House of Kings. Uldren dislikes us, but doesn't want to end us from what I've seen... but these purple Fallen, if Uldren is leading them, brings up some concerns. The second reason is that the Traveler is now actually being stolen. We want it, they want it. Let's group up and -blam!- those space rhinos up! The Vex are also candidates because... well it's a long story.

The fallen were once blessed by the traveler but it abandoned them when oryx attacked and defeated chelchis (you know the kings fall scout rifle?) variks survived as a dreg. Variks is a flippin dreg!!
